Lorazepam straight up the pipe is a way better than codeine, codeine is a straight trash drug. Shitty side-effects, no first-pass, and you'll overdose and suffocate painfully before you get a proper high on it.

He's still an idiot for snorting Ativan though, it's not made for that. He's just gumming his nose up with cornstarch and shit.
 
Guy sharing a hospital room with me talked his way into an extra Ativan and then lost his fucking mind around 3am.

ativan (like most benzos) is water insoluble, the only high you will get from snorting it is from whatever drips down to your throat

maybe it's more "going off of benzos is exponentially worse than going off opioids" than one being necessarily better
edit- wait a minute the whole fucking point of ativan is that it's the fast acting one you stick under your tongue wtf
