One of my neighbours has been sitting on his porch with a hunting rifle after another neighbour's garage was burgled. Canada can be pretty based sometimes, if you don't live in Toronto or Vancouver.

My cat has encephalitis and the vet is closed.

It's been a good run, kitty :(
My cats got euthanized last year due to old age complications. It's always hard losing a pet - just remember the many good years and try not to focus on the final bad one.

I'm still working from home for the time being. Kind of bored not being able to go anywhere or do anything with most of the city shutting down. Panic hoarders seems to have slowed down, though it can still be a pain trying to find toilet paper or certain foodstuffs.

I'm feeling more ennui than doomed these days. Give me some Doom just to liven things up a bit.

I slept better than I have in years last night, I'm starting to settle in to this nonsense and my comfy levels are rising steadily. Trying to just focus on the here and now.

More frustrated than doomed tbh. It’s that sense of going through all the things I enjoy doing and realising that every single one of them is off the table.

No dooming here, the coronapocalypse is comfy
Country is running out of medical supplies, we don't have enough corona tests, fire and police stations are closing due due to people infected and those who aren't are being put in quarantine, lock-down is a hell of a lot stricter, there's a city that's closing it's borders, everything has stopped to a screeching halt, and we haven't reached the peak.

My phone spooks me every night with emergency alerts.

This was supposed to be the time for me to go to all the museums and do all the drone photos I wanted to do in my state before moving. THANK YOU BASTARD GOVERNOR

The bad: I effectively got laid off by my job. No work until August. State unemployment office is run by mental invalids, so no benefits there.

The good: I have applied to several "essential" employers and hope to get some kind of employment soon-ish. I also hated my last job so I get to quietly tender a letter of resignation and never do that shit again.

Honestly? Pretty good.

Still working, one of my co-workers retired so I might get more hours, getting paid $2 hazard pay, and through therapy I’ve discovered some things about myself and am starting to finally resolve some internal issues.

Also, I cooked my first sunny side egg almost perfectly.

Thanks Corona-Chan!

Not a doctor but I work in healthcare. Today I find out if I'm being furloughed for a few months or if I'm being reassigned. Strange to think that a virus is killing even so many aspects of our business. No one wants to go to the doctor for fear of the coof. Makes me wonder what is going untreated, and how much of it.

But on the upside I have mountains of unplayed/unwatched/unread media and about a dozen cases of Ensure, so hey, I'm gonna party like I'm 72.
