The concept looks pretty cool. I am thinking of doing a voice sample because I always liked voice acting. I am pretty sure I will sound like a 12 years old boy though.

Voice actors are generally needed for one day, with a possible one-day followup. A startup indie project like this one would likely need you to have your own recording gear capable of 20-bit FLAC or equivalent; the Audio Guy will need it strictly monophonic and totally dry, i.e. no reverb, compression (in either the audio or digital sense), equalization, nor stereo effects. The idea is not to make it sound good, necessarily, but rather to make it clean so the audio guy + runtime software has something to work with.

The bright side is that most modern computers can do that more or less off-the-shelf, with the addition of a good microphone and possibly a preamp. (Lacking massive funding and/or ability to borrow something, I'd start with a Shure SM-58.) A balanced input (= any decent microphone; a 3-prong XLR connector is also a dead giveaway) means you need some kind of preamp to get it into the DAC. Some audio cards can handle both low and high impedance loads, making a preamp unnecessary, so check.
