Root beer is my drug,i fucken love it. Dr. Pepper is good too.

I always have liked ginger ale/beer. My favorite brands are

Reed's (Extra):

and Vernor's.

Then there is orange soda.

Buddy's

is probably my favorite, but Aldi used to have a cool version of orange soda by their house brand, Summit, called Plunge.

The interesting thing about Plunge is that it was clear instead of orange yet it was very "orangey" in flavor. Their answer to Mountain Dew is called Mountain Frost

and it is actually better than Mountain Dew as it has a very strong citrus aftertaste that is hard to describe. It is an example of a cheap "knock-off" being better than the original thing.

Of course I also like cream soda and root beer, particularly the ones made by Spring Grove.

The newest Mt. Dew flavor, Gingerbread (or whatever), is just weird. I didn't hate it like I did the watermelon flavor, but it definitely has a gingerbread flavor, not just ginger. Like the molasses and spices and such in gingerbread. Very strange.

The Voo-Dew Halloween flavor was good though.

Did you ever get to try this?

Loved it back in the day, can't find it around here anymore though.

It looks gross as hell.

I have only seen it in one spot around here and that is in a massive airplane hangar-sized store called the World's Largest Candy Store. It is a bit of a drive from where I am at and they are only open during the summer but they have over a hundred types of soda. Next time I am there I will look for it.

Nature is apparently healing, I'm seeing Winter Spiced Cranberry Sprite in stores and they've introduced a zero-sugar variant this year.

Also, I recently tried a bottle of one of those "soda shop-inspired" sugar-sweetened Pepsis, specifically the black cherry one. It was actually better than their usual cherry cola.

Thanks for the warning on the gingerbread Mountain Dew, I was considering trying it but all I'm seeing are 12-can packs of the stuff. If I find a bottle of it I'll still try it out sheer curiosity, it makes me miss that Holiday Pepsi from WAY back when.

ALL of the Voo Dews looked gross thanks to the cloudy-white coloring but they were surprisingly decent once you got past it. Also, the packaging contains hints as to what flavors they were via the coloring and, starting with the second one, the numbering. The first one was candy corn, the second was fruity candy ala Skittles, and this year's was apparently blue raspberry taffy.
What is Japanese marble soda?
Sodas like Ramune are known as marble sodas, it's all due to the bottle.

Gas stations/convenience stores are where I usually find the individual bottles.

The only Mtn Dew I've ever found to be a solid beverage is Code Red. Because it's just a decent Cherry Flavored Soda. I hate how Mtn Dew tastes rather flat and seemingly has a far thicker viscosity.

But anyway I don't get why Cherry flavored soda isn't a commonly distributed beverage. I've seen at my local market there are small indie Cherry Sodas but I don't want to pay $1 a bottle for sugar water.

They brought that Sprite Cranberry back and that shit is unironically going to drive me to diabetes.

It's all the additives and other shit in it. Even among the 'harder' drinks (Mountain Dew, Surge, Bang, etc), which tend to be a bit thicker in terms of body, Mountain Dew is a choker.

The only other really common cherry soda is Cheerwine, and that shit is fucking disgusting. They used to have a cherry Sprite that was pretty good, but I'm stunned that Crush or Fanta doesn't have a cherry flavor that I know of.
