We ordered some burgers a moment ago and I asked for a can of sugar free coke with my order. They gave me this:

A special edition coke with an 8bit theme and is not good. I can not quite put my finger on what it tastes like but the best I can put it is Dr. Pepper mixed with coke and dilluted with mineral water.

Not the worst soda I had drank (that place goes to the orange bubblegum fanta) but very forgettable if not for the tacky can.

am I the only one who cant drink dark sodas anymore after getting covid? its been 7 months!!!!
Why? What happens to you?

Also, I will drink any brand of cola and enjoy it but this one is the best:

Most American soft drinks are vile, because of that corn syrup garbage you use.
I do enjoy a blue Frostie though!

they are taste horrible since. I got my taste back for everything else tho. searched the issue on twitter and apparently its very common.

I like Sherley Temples, Golden Ginger Ale (The kind that Frannie's sells), but my two favorite sodas are Bundaberg's Ginger Beer, Mexican Coke, and Moxie (from a glass bottle, since that version doesn't have High Frutos Corn Syrup)

Not all dark sodas, but I used to love cream sodas and root beer and after I got covid back in early 2020 I can't fucking stand it anymore. My tastes 100% changed to be less of a vanilla flavor to more gingery flavors.

Root Beer tastes vile to me now. Too cloyingly sweet and I purchased a six pack of them in the hopes i'll enjoy it again. Took a sip and I walked over to my neighbor's apartment and offered it to him.

I like Dr. Pepper but theirs this brand of soda called Americana that's quite nice, especially their huckleberry and black cherry selection of soda.

I’ve never had Covid, but I stopped drinking all soda for a while during 2018-2020 and when I started drinking soda again I couldn’t stand dark sodas. Only dark soda I enjoy is some kind of root beer. A&W and IBC are my favorites.

Interesting, apparently it’s being sold here in the US as Coca-Cola Byte.
any of you spergs ever tried those jones sodas? they're kinda expensive (and admittedly make you look like a soyboy) but they taste good. i like the berry lemonade.
I’ve had ’em before and they’re okay, I prefer their orange & cream soda and I used to give their more limited flavors a try when I would drink sugary sodas.

I don't drink a lot of soda anymore b/c it makes me crave sweets and can be essentially empty calories, but I occasionally enjoy a mexican coke or ginger beer. There are some regional sodas where I live and some craft soda shops that are pretty good.

I had to drink sparkling water for a while in order to stop drinking soda. Most of the mainstream brands are OK.

Rarely drink pop anymore but I’m always a sucker for RC Cola or bottled Dr. Pepper. Dr. Pepper when made with real sugar goes hard with Jameson.

can confirm the real sugar stuff is the good shit. it's kinda hard to find though. i'm surprised coca cola doesn't do the same thing (iirc mexican coke is made with HFCS nowadays).

You can find them semi-easy over where I live. If it’s especially hot I might grab a bottled coke when I’m filling up my car at a gas station.

I caved in and bought some of that nitrogen infused soda. Its definitely unique, it has roughly the froth and consistency of a can of Guinness, except its soda. Not really worth the higher pricetag though, honestly. Also goes flat really fast so you have to inhale it.

I'm kind of addicted to it but yeah the price is fucked. I rarely drink soda anymore but I keep some in the fridge when I do. Sure it won't be around much longer anyways.

On an entirely random note, does anyone other than Boomers in the Deep South actually drink RC Cola? I've had RC Cola and it's alright but I prefer Pepsi and for the price of RC Cola, I'd just buy some store brand cola.

One thing I'll grant RC is that both Nehi and Diet Rite are awesome.

RC Cola tastes like liquid discount store. It's surreal.
