yt-dlp - Fork of yt-download. Command line program that will download video on almost any site absurdly well. I used to have to use websites like keepvid.to or savemedia.website to download video, but this is far fucking better. Once you are in the folder where the yt-dlp program is located (I keep mine in "Downloads," type the command 'yt-dlp <link> -f "bestvideo[ext=mp4]+bestaudio[ext=m4a]/best[ext=mp4]/best" .' This will work on almost any fucking site you can think of with absurd accuracy, very very reliable and I'm pretty sure it will not even download duplicates of something if you've already downloaded it. Only one time this hasn't worked for me on a very obscure porn site (don't ask how I know).
ShareX - Best screenshot software I have ever used by far. Captures in what seems to be perfect quality. Zooms in and allows you to set the border at the exact pixel you want captured. Surprisingly fast, even on my 4k monitors. Very very reliable.
Handbrake - Video compression software. You can enter massive queues of videos and just run it overnight. Compresses videos very very fucking well by making the memory much smaller without any real loss in quality. What I do is I got to the video tab, I make the framerate constant and set it to "same as source," I make the encoder present slider "slow," and I set the quality to 24-22 depending on how much I care about the quality of the clip.
Irfanview - Very good Media player, pretty sure it works on Linux also. Absurdly customizable. Hard to explain, it's just really really fucking good and will work with almost any file type unlike the piece of fucking shit windows media player. Absolute must if you are a fellow winnigger because it is absurdly easy to use and customizable. Only downside I can think of is that webps don't work (I think), and webms will not have sound enabled. Made with the power of sheer concentrated German autism.
Imageye - Browser extension that allows you to download every image on a webpage. I've used it many time to save all the full-size images from entire 4chan threads in seconds. Extremely fast and very reliable. You can filter out different sizes and other things that you don't want downloaded, and if you're downloading 4chan threads then you have to set the size filter to exclude thumbnails. Very good for archival purposes, I'm sure. Link is for the chrome extension that is also used on Brave. You'll have to get the Firefox version if you use Firefox or Librewolf.
GoFullPage - Another browser extension that will screencap an entire webpage from top to bottom and turn it into a png or pdf. Will separate large pages into different sections, and if you're downloading a fucking massive page it might not work. Can be kind of slow and take up a lot of space on your computer. Link is for the chrome extension that is also used on Brave. You'll have to get the Firefox version if you use Firefox or Librewolf.
OBS - Best I've used for screen recording. Also seems to capture perfect quality on my 4k monitors, but if you have it set to settings as high as me then it will use a shitload of memory. Definitely compress the video with handbrake after.
VLC - Basically perfect video player. Only gripe I have is that you can't go frame-by-frame very easily, like you can in Media Player Classic. I think you can press "e" and go a frame forward but there is no way to go a frame back. Also works on Linux.
Notepad++ - It's Notepad++, come on.
qbittorrent - Very good torrent software. I've used it for years and never had any reason to complain.
WebMConverter - Perfect for making 4chan webms that fit below size limit, if you even bother using the site anymore.
AutoClicker - Makes your cursor click at specified intervals or in an endless loop. Downloaded it when I was younger so I could spam in Roblox. If you want to delete your YouTube history, YouTube tries to make it so you can only delete one thing at a time, but if you use this autoclicker to click at 3-second intervals you can run that shit overnight and delete everything despite the Jewish obstacles.
