I hate that dishonest Reddit tier argument. Maybe not in your specific instance, but it has well documented by now that the day a crack is released, sales take a hit. The only games I’ve bought in the last 10 years were those without fully working cracks

Piracy ruined Sony's hopes and dreams for the PSP , console sales were exceedingly good but software sales were abysmal due to how easy it was to crack and also use as a portable emulation machine as well as pirate the movies and games. I largely agree although it is notable that if Empress is Russian, NES bootlegs were a huge market in the early 2000s. I somehow ended up in a friendgroup of Russian women, and they all got their start in gaming playing Runescape and Dendy bootleg NES shit, and they Range from early 20s to late 20s. It's not that improbable due to limited supply chains post-soviet union.

Thats the thing, this Empress person is very peculiar , leaves a lot of room for especulation and should be looked at more closely. Their lunatic rants are entertaining but one cannot take anything they say at face value.
