That was as dumb as it can get, just someone crying because his favourite site got closed. In my experience, usually advocates don't talk mad shit like that, mostly they try to figure out why the laws are so fucked that they allow frauds like Games as a Service to exist for singleplayer only games, or for that model to exist at all.

Didn't they switch over to a semi-paid model of their site somewhere last year? The last time i tried to download an older title there it lead me to some obscure 1-click hosters that didn't even have all the parts of the file online, the main download link from their own server was password protected. I'll shed no tears for a site that takes money for piracy apart from covering server costs.

If a game is on GOG I don't feel a need to pirate it at all, I'm happy to buy it. I only pirate games if they're using some ridiculous pricing strategy or if I really like the game and the DRM prevents me from keeping a backup.
Or if the game isn't on PC and I have to get a ROM.
