What do you guys think is the cause for people to have this sort of hatred for everything? Bullying? Entitlement? A combination? Other factors? What makes some people act on it (i.e terrorists/shooters/killers) rather than just make shitty posts on it online?

I think it ultimately depends from person to person, some people feel entitled to the world and lash out in rage when they are denied it, others may be so worn down from clown world antics that they feel no need to save it.
What exactly is "entitled to the world?" and how do you think that develops?
Self-hatred turned outwards.
Now this is interesting. Reminds me of that one greentext about "what would you put in a 4chan documentary"

If you wish to learn, you can read. You can search. One let's you obtain knowledge and the other helps you absorb it. Hope it helps. Probably won't.

Loss of hope. If you think there is nothing beyond this life and this is all we get, there's no reason to be patient and wait for some after life justice and there's also no fear of doing something immoral. Rules and laws become arbitrary without some kind of moral foundation.

Also, if you think that there is no chance that humans will ever evolve beyond what we are today (and, let's be honest, there's very little evidence that people will ever evolve to be completely good), why not just burn everything down? Just fully embrace Darwinism. Survival of the fittest. Take out the useless or your enemies and at least make your own life a little better. Fuck society. Just look out for #1.

Sometimes I wish I could be like this. I think it would be easier to be angry than depressed over the state of the world. But, at heart I'm still an optimist and I still want to believe that humans can evolve to be good over time. I'm probably wrong, but I want to believe. Maybe others choose to be angry (or at least indifferent) rather than depressed.

you ask about reasons and motivations, but the whole point of that "some men just want to watch the world burn" quote is that these men do not have actual reasons or motivations for doing what they do, they do it for its own sake.

Frustration occurs when reality doesn't match up with expectations. A sense of entitlement pushes individuals to take what they want in a means to correct some perceived slight that causes that frustration. I dunno. I think a lot of people can't think outside of a "woe is me" mentality and try to bring others down to their level instead of working on themsleves.

OP, your query doesn't make any sense. Trying to find reason in the actions of such a situation defeats the ethos of the actions in question. There is no reason beyond that they just want to watch the world burn. Wanting to watch the world burn is both the act and the reason.

Biologically, it can be depression or another disease, and a lack of production of certain chemicals or underdeveloped neuropathways and brain structures. But plenty of people are misanthropic without mental illness of course, it is just one cause to keep in mind aside from people giving up on others or trauma.

The world has been fucked beyond repair by people I'll never meet and then we die.

There's no point in worrying about the things beyond our control. Watching the world burn is all we have to look forward to. I just hope that it'll happen and I'll be at a nice place in life. It's not a depressing mindset, it's being fully aware of how the world is going and keeping your expectations realistic. We've fucked this planet into the DIRT and its gonna end someday. You have to accept it and then you grow happier. There's gonna be an end someday, so enjoy the limited you have.
