Some thread deletions seem arbitrary, personal, vindictive, & based upon triggered emotions.

are you a Punjabi or some other sort of sub-Saharan? or Asian?
no Western white devil would type with this sort of tortured grammar
I see. You don’t like proper grammar.

Duz yooz beez ah neygro? - Is that more of your style?

Everyone quickly notices when a mod is removed from position.
But do they receive the details as to why the Mod was removed?

Nigga this shit doesn't exactly happen every day. I believe the last time was during the most recent DSP board drama saga months ago where Null demodded one or two people from that board and gave a very detailed (and a bit butthurt) explanation why. But don't worry, kiwis are always ready to bully any freshly booted janny into submission.

Do we actually know if it’s a rather uncommon occurrence?

But is the entire board notified or just the people involved with that drama?

Now THAT is some good news! Uppity mods can be a major impediment to attracting a quality user base.

Yes. You can literally check at any time whether or not the mod carries his badge. There's also a list of moderators for public perusal.

You will not get a life changing DM from Null explicitly and intricately detailing every detail of a mod removal. However if you keep even the tinniest bit of presence on the site, you'll find out all the mod removals that aren't resignations. Hell, people find out within an hour tops when Haramburger was removed.

But what if all you’re interested in is posting great content to help make a great board and you’re not interested in day to day Mod drama? Is there a way to find out if a Mod has been appropriately disciplined for abusing his or her Mod privileges without trying to find an obscure link to find the deets - IOW, is individual janny justice that’s meted out by the head honcho broadcast somewhere on the front page?

Not that I am aware of, but again, people notice immediately and the news spreads. People noticed @CIA Nigger 's removal (and acc ban) a full year before it was relevant enough to announce it.

Okay, fair enough.…although it might be useful to have an idea about which Mods consistently do things that aggravate posters short of deleting entire threads. For instance, a Mod altered the title of one of my threads without informing me. They did it simply because they disagreed with my opinion about certain subject matter. That’s an incredibly petty thing to do.

Are Mods assigned to patrol particular boards or even threads if they’re large enough?

They usually have their own boards and stick to them, but have (as I understand it) sweeping authority over other boards because Dear Feeder trusts his mods to not be joyless tranny jannies. In U_M’s case, he’s also the attorney representing KF against the likes of Melinda Scott and Russell Greer.

Yes. @Francis York Morgan for example is in charge of Autistic Thunderdome (as am I). Some mods can have authority over multiple boards. Global moderators have authority over all the boards.

Yes. For example, I think everyone has authority over Balldoverse Collapse and PG, though not everyone exercises that authority.

This may be a silly question, but have Mods ever mistakenly undertaken an enforcement action against other Mods?
You'd have to ask individual mods to find out.

I really dislike mod decisions being anonymous, I have an essential need for knowing which mod got triggered
