so: catholic hospitals have seriously fucked up women's health countless times because they were dealing with women who had pregnancies that were incompatible with the mother's life, and wouldn't act to save her. But THIS, not having your balls cut off on demand, is why "people" would burn down a hospital? oookay. I have some doubt that this is even about religion, it might strictly be about preventing liability.

it is really really fucking hard to burn down a hospital. they are built with very specific regulations because there are oxygen tanks, and volatile chemicals, and machines that run hot & malfunction from time to time, and outlets pulling lots of current all over the place, combined with a bunch of people who have compromised mobility. The strictest possible anti-fire measures are used in all hospitals. The fire code is usually "code red" at a hospital, and code reds go off all the fucking time, but I have never seen it become a serious problem that spread beyond the point of origin, not once.
