Probably how great things are going.
They have been doubling down on their stupid ideas for a really really long time. Part of the issue is how much criticism they have completely shut down so they have to have read at least some of it to no effect.
They have made clear, over and over and over that they are not only not going to change but are happy with the way things are going. So even when SA finally can no longer pay for itself they'll go make their stupid ideas someone else's problems, wistfully reminiscent of the website that even they couldn't save.

All the admins have to say to Lowtax to get him to back down is "do it yourself". The Kyankas have no wish to actually run the forums when they can get other people to do that for them for free.
What's weird is that the site didn't fall apart when Ozma left, so he should know by now that admins are dispensable.

I can see how it looks like a weird obsession but we didn't actually find some of them - they found us. Fire came here offering information on ADF and trying to hawk his gofundme. Neph came here to throw Fire under a bus. Greta wasn't on our radar until she decided she didn't like us being mean to Fire and turned up at Null's house. Others have tried to have our hosting taken down.
When someone we've mentioned in passing kicks up what seems like a disproportionate fuss, we tend to take a closer look - and when we do we almost always find stuff which justifies them getting a thread of their own.
A few of the other troons got their threads from being screechy SJWs trying to capitalise on Gamergate. Nobody would have a clue who they were to this day had they not tried to ride that wave for pitybux/fame. We don't care about "ethics in videogame journalism", but if you're trying to censor the whole internet so your feelings don't get hurt we want to know who you are.
We really don't go out scouring the net for troons to mock. We don't need to.
