Fuck Ralp. The one quietly great thing still going on over at SA is that Ralp has been chain-probated by FYAD IKs for like, all of 2017. Ralp did the one unforgivable sin and banned corsair:

Like you said, they don't see any of the money so they don't give a fuck. Lowtax himself barely seems to care and whatever vision he has for SA is laughably far from what it has been for years. He's never really enforced it, and the people he put in charge have their own ideas as to what the forums should be about. And that's basically a humorless safe space. Those admins put posters that agreed with them in mod positions and just basically banned/probated/gassed anything that they didn't like or agree with.

Now Lowtax has to contend with an entire staff who are completely in opposition to what he wants and basically their army of sycophants. Like many others have said, he'll care for a few days and then disappear from the forums. I mean, he could just fire the admin/mod team, get a simple forum package to learn himself and take back control, but I won't hold my breath for that. It requires effort. SA will continue to bleed users and die a slow death. Nobody wants to join a Neogaf clone you have to pay for. Fuck, people don't even want to join Neogaf.

edit: Believe it or not, Hellthread died at the hands of the BYOB mod, who I believe was FluffyDuckie. Thread moved to BYOB when the previous forum's mod "didn't want to deal with it anymore." Then it got gassed and a bunch of people probed/banned after like a day because trannies were being discussed. At that point Hellthread was not allowed in BYOB or anywhere else so it just died. I think it could have used an offsite but truth is that in 2016 it probably would have ended up on discord or something and I'd never end up seeing it.

Pretty much. I always thought it was Ralp who pretty much closed it since he was responsible for all the bans. The mod probably didn't want to be bothered and Ralp just said to gas it then banned everyone.

Most got banned for nothing. Its pretty pathetic as SA now has about a billion unwritten rules you have to follow and if you still say something a mod doesn't like in just the wrong way you eat a probation/ban.

Nuked the bad dox on FAU because people were starting to go after not-FAU's girlfriend ... for some reason.

FAU linked to some random guy's YouTube playthrough of Pokemon during his own autistic playthrough of Pokemon as a joke and people thought it was him. If it weren't for our friend Lowtax very quickly rushing to the scene and helping us correct the mistake, we might all have eggs on our faces. Lowtax would also like us to know FAU does not live in Canada, but probably does live in America. He is involved in public broadcasting hoping for a journalism degree when he was younger.

I don't even know who to give the victory to, Null is fighting from deep deep deep in the hole after the embarrassment of our botched dox, and Lowtax is savaging him over it. Null throws out a pedophile dig but it's overused and ineffective and Lowtax continues the brutal assault with 'you still live with your mom' jokes. Null's defence is weak af he has nowhere to go he's getting ruined and clowned on it looks like it's all over for Null, and then all of a sudden, sweeping up out of nowhere, like the clenched right hand of Uwe Boll, Null takes all of Lowtax's impending financial anxiety over his failing livelihood and imminent bankruptcy and throws it right in his face in the most unimaginably brutal hit yet and Lowtax has nothing to come back with. This was Lowtax, all Lowtax, coming fast and furious and without mercy it looked like Null didn't have a hope or a prayer until that final ugly, devastating blow.

Did that final shot just recoup some dignity or did it completely tip the scales I honestly cannot tell you.
