On tumblr and twitter, the troons and SJWs started getting banned by their own hate speech rules for telling people to kill themselves. So to avoid a ban, they'd run around screaming stuff like "Pee your pants, TERF!" or "I wish cishets would all pee their pants!"

Didn't last too long, but it seemed just the kind of stupid that goons would love.

Keep in mind that the amount of people willing to pay ten dollarydoos in the year of our Lord 2019 to post on a broken, dead, unfunny forum is minimal at best. Reddit, twitter, and 4chan are free and generate more content and interest than SA could ever dream of. Resetera is the closest I could think of but even that has a shit reputation for somehow being worse than Neofag.

Reddit in particular just ate SA's lunch entirely while lowtax sat in an ambien coma, which is why goons will be eternally assravaged that a shitty free site managed to utterly demolish them. Never forget that SA's philosophy is similar to Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons and it's all derived from heavy-handed "ironic" moderation and being behind a paywall.

Unlikely. Unlike when Newgrounds jumped to present itself as an alternative during the big porn purge, Lowtax seems to genuinely hate the idea of doing the work to market himself or his website. He told the NeoGAF refugees to fuck off, and while that’s reasonable for most places to do, it’s true that the NeoGAF spinoff and containment center ResetERA is currently more active and socially relevant than SA.

Lowtax wants SA’s growth to occur “organically” and “by word of mouth” where the quality of posters matters far more than quantity. But that ship has fucking sailed. SA has nothing to offer compared to any other forum or website at this point, and fucking lol if you think modern goons are in any way not exactly the same mentally ill sad-brains that populate ResetERA. Most people barely know it fucking exists or assume it ended in the early 00’s, and that’s pretty much entirely on Lowtax being a lazy moron.

There was a big surge of Tumblrites signing up during the notorious Dangan Ronpa LP in 2010/11, so many of them are already there. SA's attitude to the influx was a bit - inconsistent? Lowtax brought the paywall down on the LP forum to make them pony up $10 (aided by the people at LParchive replacing hotlinked images from the LP with Goatse and adverts for the SA forums), but then he and Slowbeef tried to ban them en masse once they turned up and starting shitting up threads with uwu bullshit.

But eventually the Tumblrites took over the site, drove most normal posters (and Lowtax) away, and now have most of the mod positions.

That said, I don't think any future Tumblr exodus would go to SA. Unlike in 2010 there's nothing to actually attract them and the site has declined in quality and quantity since 2010, even if it's more ideologically suited to them than it was before. I reckon they'll go to Reddit, like all communities do when they're ready to die.

I don't think Tumblr would really mesh well with the existing KF culture and they would bring little value to boot.

I'd make that money back in about no seconds flat by banning D&D regulars. Then I would do themes like "homegrown mondays" and "russian roulette tuesdays". Basically having the remaining users debase themselves and their family for forum upgrades, free bans, etc. I'd also have the site banners show KM's stripshow on loop. Maybe remod Aatrek and have him moderate FYAD.

Then he dubbed the goons "Good Froggers" and those against him "Bad Froggers" and tried to get more donations. Mostly for an expensive vent hood.

Twitter is on track to be in the black by end of the year. They seem to have unfucked their business model as long as companies are spending on Ads.
