I remember when one of the oldest forum members (in actual age), tokeii, fell on his own sword when he realized he had been lulled by goons into defending pedophile adjacent behavior. Realizing what he had done, he sepukku'd in the public square and had the admins permaban his account and he was never seen or heard form again.

If only the admins and moderators were so prescient, but of course not, this is the culture they created and the kind of behavior they fostered.

Tokeii was a former cop (very haram now a days) and IIRC from his experience he felt there a difference between dudes wanting to bang someone in highschool and the ones who were preying on the kids in grade school because it was hard to get worked up about the former when you'd done police work regarding the crimes committed by the latter.

Didn't that shit with Tokeii happen with all the ArcheAge drama in like 2014? I vaguely remember them being interconnected.

Yup. That was when that games subforum (a fyad lite that zendeathrobot heavily supported, but name escapes me) raided the archage thread about the bobfrommarketing guy (former eve online goon) who had been creepy to some nordic land underage girl in the past. He was on the goon guild in AA, so they caused a ruckus over that.

I was in the guild, and that was a fun game for 2 months.

I wish Tokeii hadn't gone down that rabbit hole, the guy was cool.

But I'm glad he moved on. SA was pretty shit by that time.

I had a lot of fun playing AA with goons and doing pirate shit. All the drama there and SA getting more woke around then was the beginning of the end for me though. Just got worse from there.

I used to live in TFR and Cyrano seemed pretty well-adjusted (if occasionally autistic and prone to word diarrhea) to me, I'd cut him slack on that weird post. Haven't checked back in in years but kind of had a glimmer of hope that it stayed an isolated little forgotten capsule of the SA glory days, sad to hear it's changed with the rest of the site

It's astonishing how these Jeffo types somehow assume that they can somehow explain away all their decisions and votes. They make the basic foolish assumption that they are dealing with rational or even empathetic types instead of a swarm of highly agitated rabid fish, waiting for the slightest drops of blood to hit the water.

Jeff is a fence sitting coward, it really scares him to have to solidly take a side and stand his ground. He was always like this.

It is embarrassingly obvious how hard he tries to always shift the blame elsewhere and make himself seem as neutral as possible in all situations with the PR persona. SA users demand compliance, he should know they always, always will turn on each other and eat each other alive, and that he is not exempt from this just because he gave $100k to a wife beater and deadbeat dad.
