Sonichu Sonees and Roseys

I like chibi art and enjoyed it since I was little. I like the concept of Sonichu and Rosechu having kids and doing mundane things around the house. I like seeing that in fictional characters and I feel it opens intimacy between the characters and the viewer. I'm not keen on Chris' art and utterly dull writing. It doesn't help that the kids don't do anything, don't add anything, and I can't even tell you what their personalities are like. I think it is Cerah that is in plays or something and the kids eventually start a band with their trans*sister.

So what I think I am trying to say, I like the kids more in concept than execution. (But that goes for Chris and his life in general.)

Yeah, they're not a bad concept. I like slice-of-life things where it's just the main characters donging around doing whatever they do in their regular days.
But they're just not... right. Not even through their soulless eyes, deformed bodies, and aggravating baby-speak. They are, as someone said earlier in the thread, just an idealised version of Chris's childhood, particularly with Robbie. Chris was an only child and had abusive babysitters and not a lot of friends. But the Sonichu kids... if we keep focusing on Robbie as representation of what Chris would've wanted as a boy, he has two sisters who always want to play with him, two coddling parents who give him whatever he wants, lots of friends and all the time in the world to fuck around doing whatever he feels like, while being in a (in his eyes) cute, cuddly form.
It's asinine and disturbing.

Hilarious AND easy to exploit! I remember in Hedgeclipper that Allie tried an experiment by dropping Christine's skirtachute to see if it would work without being attached to a Rosey.

Just for fun, Allie dropped the skirt by itself to see if its parachute function would activate, but the striped cloth simply dropped and crumpled, obeying the laws of physics. Only when it was wrapped around such a horrid and disgusting violation of everything good and natural in the world did its parachute properties actually manifest.

I also find it hilarious that in his homemade Sonee and Rosey cards, Chris gave Sonees the Quick Attack ability while the Roseys get..."Cute Wink".

I can see that Chris was trying to go for something a little simplified, yet distinct, in the same way that Pichu is simplified-yet-distinct from Pikachu (and Raichu from Pikachu). But he couldn't even manage that, since they're basically smaller clones of their parents, with less detail and blobby limbs, because that's supposed to be cute. And that's just design-wise; personality-wise they have none, and their terrible baby talk drives me up a wall.
