Sonic Runners - In new game, his arms see a return to form

Hooray! The blue armed bandit has finally been defeated!!

In all seriousness, I'm not really sold on this. The basic concept of the game just makes it sound pretty uninteresting.
 
From my understanding, blue armed Sonic is an American invention and Sega in Japan told fans to ignore it as it's not canon. Though that's not as much fun as Chris macing someone at a Gamestop over that.

Whelp, when Chris gets wind of this he'll declare victory and walk into that trial tomorrow feeling untouchable.

The game is japan only though. As champ said the Sonic Boom storyline is a side story that doesn't go with the main Sonic canon.
 
Good. That minor cosmetic change was undoubtedly the biggest misstep the franchise has ever made.

If Chris somehow gets his hands on this game...it's going to be greatly amusing should that whole "Japan only" thing be in effect since no matter how he gets it, he won't really be able to play it due to physical card cartridges being region locked (no goddamn way he has a Japanese DS) and more importantly it's probably not getting an English language localization so he can't under-no, scratch that, he doesn't need to understand it. He'll just make up dialogue along the way instead.

Oh, yeah, and this game looks more like a move made out of desperation more than anything in the wake of SEGA of America closing its main offices and moving to a smaller scale operation, since SEGA as a whole is feeling the crunch.

Well, he said himself that he doesn't care about the stories, the canon or the gameplay, the only thing that matters to him is that Sonic is 'original'.

Not even that, since it's easier to assume that as long as Sonic is a blue blob with tan sticks for limbs and red feet-shaped things on the bottom, that is all Chris needs to deem Sonic acceptable since he obviously had no problem with Sonic's eyes gaining green iris circles a decade or so ago.

I wonder how much money Chris spent on the game's roulette wheel? I would't be surprised if the total cost was just as much as his ps4.
