So wait..if I read this right, at one point the Pikachu that became Sonichu had a trainer, this comes from the panel where someone says "Pikachu,Use Tackle!" Or maybe Chris is just even more special and doesn't realize Pokemon can use moves by themselves.

I'd be amused if he thinks all Pokemon do is shit themselves and do nothing (besides existing)!

Sonichu was a bait and switch, the comic’s always been about Chris. He knew nobody cares about him alone, but by being the creator of a dynamic and familiar mash-up OC he could get a generation of nerdy losers to pay attention to him.

The comic undeniably stared Sonichu in the first two issues and even all the Chris related stuff he mostly kept separate (except book 2) which is why he called them Sub-Episodes. It wasn't until Book 5 when Barb told him to stop making sub episodes and Chris became obsessed with Megan that he truly took over the comic.

I don't think Chris related to Sonichu to begin with.

Everyone has always treated Sonichu as a self insert, but I think that's a mistaken assumption.

Sonichu was designed to be Chris' idea of a perfect best friend, not his avatar of himself. Autists have trouble putting themselves into other people's shoes. Chris doesn't want to imagine himself as Sonichu. That would be an absurdity to him. The only person capable of being Chris is Chris himself. Duhhh! (Chris would think, and in all probability, say aloud to your face.)

So I don't think Chris thinks of himself as either Sonichu or Rosechu.

I think Chris would dog on Sonichu for being a stereotypical brute male nowadays, but I don't think it'd be malicious. I think Chris probably typecasts Sonichu as his dopey sidekick comedy relief. Or as the dumb sitcom dad with the hot wife, also a comedy relief thing. Think Married with Children.

Marvin's explanation is on point. I don't think Sonichu would even fuck with Chris in real life. Because (just for imagination's sake), while they might have been friend's for ten plus years, they really grew apart. Chris turned into this freakazoid thing we know today with like 2 or 3 clones of himself that are all powerful just like him but still alone and playing kid games. Meanwhile, Sonichu got pushed to the back burner of his own comic but still is everything that Chris aspires to be. He has a wife, children, plenty of friends and has his shit together. He wouldn't have time to play with lego and vidya or whatever other childish stuff Chris does because he is too busy with his family doing adult things that would be boring to Chris.

Not really. Chris presents himself, obviously in a very Mary Sue-ish, separately from Sonichu.
Sonichu, along with the rest of the menagerie, are nothing more than pets or sidekicks who assist Chris in all his excellent adventures.

Sorry but Rosechu is a Raichu. Because Chris is straight up stealing Rosechu's Story from @Trickie the pikachu that is battling is Kels. Kel evolved her pikachu into a Raichu as soon as she could because she's a trainer. The pikachu that became Sonichu was wild until he wandered off to Station Square and got blindsided by Super Sonic and transformed into Sonichu.
