I know that you guys are probably just ribbing me, but I wanted to make my stance clear on this just in case: My comic is freely available on the internet, it's not even monitized with ads, so if someone wants to take the pages and print them out to have for themselves, or to give/sell to others, there's not really a lot I can do even if I cared to. But the main thing is that I can't bring myself to really care, even if Christine sells them for money, so long as she's giving me credit for the work I've done.

I just don't have the mental energy to police what she does with the comic beyond that, and I definitely don't have the energy to deal with all the people messaging me about my comic being ripped off and how I should sue or some other such thing. Letting Christine use my work for inspiration costs me nothing.

Anyway, I hope you guys understand.

Many will likely disagree, but I gotta say, I’m a tad disappointed. Rosechu’s Story is a ton more creative than anything Chris has been able to churn out. There’s been a lot of discussion recently about Chris getting a free ‘W’ based upon the latest debt hearing, but in my own opinion, for Trickie to allow Chris to basically claim ownership of something of a much higher caliber of his own doing, his magnum opus nonetheless, is a far more egregiously handed-out win. The dialogue wasn’t copied verbatim (which is a crime. This is horrendous.), so that’s something, I guess.

it's certainly more boring for viewers and patrons this way. but on the other hand, if he couldn't trace everything directly he'd probably be too lazy to do anything at all.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. Tricky just doesn't care as long as she gets credits. That doesn't happen. We all know Chris claims ownership now.

Let's keep things in perspective here. Trickie basically retold Chris's story albeit from a different perspective using characters he created. So in his mind, he has the right to claim that story. Is it wrong? That's kind of a grey area there since its basically a fan fiction of a fan fiction.

Agreed. Rosechu's Story is super charming, he's ripping it off panel for panel and expecting to be rewarded for it, and it's always fun to see him run into resistance when it comes to something he thinks he's entitled to.

It's not so much about the characters here (i mean, created is a strong word for modifying Sonic and Amy Rose). It's about the art and the storytelling that is leagues above anything he could have delivered. I would be pissed if i put thought into something like that and ungrateful Chris claims it his own.

I remember back in the day someone on /v/ posted either a comic or something about Tim Buckley and his Ctrl Alt Del abomination where Tim's art was getting so stale he would literally copy pasta his own facial features of his characters from old comics onto new ones.
I want to see that with Chris at this point. I kind of miss the old days.

At this point he should take a Bible and just cross out every instance of God and Christ, and replace them with his name and release it as MY SOUL DESTINY JOURNEY SAGA.

lol, Chris felt the need for Rosechu to specify about her "wee-wee" when talking about how Kel should've known she was born a boy.

Also some pointless dialogue changes, like Kel saying "Woah!" and Rosechu saying "For the love of --" in the original, changed to "Woahly!" and "For the love of Arceus!" (apparently a Pokemon god) in Chris's version.

Running on water is directly from Rosechu's Story.

Yeah, but it looks like Chris tacked on another scene about it. In Rosechu's Story, while Rosechu and Kel argue, Sonichu goes for a run. Later, he takes Rosechu and shows her the running-on-water trick. In Chris's version, there are a few pages of Sonichu's run showing him finding out about the water trick. It leaves Chris's version with a weaker narrative since it's only a few pages later where he does it for Rosechu.
