This whole Sonichu-con idea... yeah... I have quite a few concerns about it if it were to really happen.

So far, everyone's liking the idea of making a Skype group and holding some sort of online convention there. The thing is that while I wouldn't mind having some users on Skype (and I do have a good number of you on there; about 10 not including the few other users that know my Skype handle), it's something I'd rather keep to myself, as I only speak to a select few people over Skype. It's a personal thing that I only really trust a few people to have access to. I do have a mic and a webcam, but that's aside from the point.

Also, the idea of a convention has been brought up before, and it was almost immediately shot down as it would have been too spergy, a waste of money and time, etc. Meetups have been discussed, and some users actually have met in person thanks to this site, but meeting up specifically over Sonichu is an idea that I recall not being too popular here. Still, there's a good chunk of people here I wouldn't mind meeting in person. Hell, I'd bend over backwards for a couple of the users here. But wearing stupid Guy Fawkes masks and yelling JULAAAAY like at that Sonichu panel way back when is just an awful idea in my opinion.

Although it's not in my power to stop any of you from arranging some sort of way to communicate with each other en masse. Just don't expect me to show up. I like my my privacy.

I don't even get on vent with my guildies in WAR, and I've known a few of them since 2009.

How does a new laptop not come with them built it? My Surface has them.

I was actually thinking the exact same thing. It's so rare to see a laptop these days that doesn't have a built in mic. Is it one of these things or something?
 
It's a desktop, lol. I just need to get up and buy one.
 
I myself don't even own a computer. Just fancy iPhone. Since I'm at work 90% of the time, I generally only need to use that. But in my opinion I wouldn't mind meeting up outside the forums if there is stuff of interest that isn't the forums and Chris. But for Chris and forums fun stuff, I think the mini chat is great.

Yeah, besides we live all over the place, if we do hold a con IRL, I probably wouldn't be able to go because I'm too poor.

I think as far as a meet-up would go, the closest thing I could think of would be to invite a few CWCki members to me and Dun's wedding in three to four years if we get married, but even then, it would only be a the select members that me and Dun choose due to money issues (more guests = more money) and well, we don't know or like everyone enough to invite them to our wedding, which the last thing we need is for it to be crashed... It would probably be some of the regulars that we are both close with.
 
I'm all for a webcam con.
 
So many Chris Chan puns in this thread.

I like the webcam idea, I think it's a great idea to try and unite all the Chris Chan fanbases out there, and it's definitely something that popularity of which could spread
 
There's already been a few Sonichu cons in Molvania already. I went to one, (without Indigo, sadly) and I'm gonna see if I can find any photos really quick...

Edit: Found it! I cosplayed Ivy O'Neill, and ran into a Sonic cosplayer. The two of us read the Remastered Sonichu, issue 1 together. I bought the sonichu plushie at the con.

Wow! I wish I could go to the one in Molvania, its an annual event right? Too bad it would more to get there than what the admission fee costs.

I'd cosplay Sailor Megtune and rock out with my guitar hero controller!

Yeah, Sonichu is big over in Molvania I heard.

I also heard that next Sonichu-Con in Molvania, they are gonna feature the musical guest Molvanian Hairline, one of the most successful bands to come out from the country are gonna have a concert unveiling their Molvanian covers of Chris' music. I'm not sure if it will be good as the original though, I guess I'll have to wait and still.

I am such a huge fan of Molvanian Hairline. I can't wait to see their cover of "So Need a Cute Girl". I wonder if they'll say "LADIES! ALL HANDS ON ME!" at the end? I'd take them up on that offer!
