Might not be Sonichu, per se (though it is a tangent to the origins of PVCC), but I'd be interested in your take on The High School Story. It's got everything: his attachments to high school, his thoughts on gender roles, the ripped-offedness of it all...
Plus, Chris retconned it to be part of Sonichu's continuity on the CWCkipedia.

Maybe the "Yep! I´m on TV!" (and also the Internet, Chrissy!)

DStecks you are a true american hero for doing this. Thank you for being funny and also thorough about the lore of CWC (irl and comic form).

Due to unforeseen circumstances (namely getting more hours at work this week than I had expected) the new Sonichu review is being pushed to Sunday. My apologies.

Well that kinda sucks, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Bright side though, Canada Day is coming up, so you get that day off, right? Maybe?

Anyway, I'll be looking forward to Sunday.

Absolutely loving this. What I really like about your reviews is that you are familiar with all of Christory; half of the absurdity of "Sonichu" is how much it relates to actual events in Chris' life, and it's great to have a reviewer who can point out things like who Wes Iesli really is and what happened with Megan. It's something other reviewers, even the Webcomic Relief, haven't done. I wasn't crazy about the reviews of Volume 4 because it seemed more a summation and had fewer jokes and critiques, but the last two reviews have been great.

One thing I will please ask...when we hit Silvana's introduction, don't start with the tranny jokes. Transphobia isn't funny, just offensive and lazy. And there are so, so many more things to mock.

Can I also take some time to apologize for the "Sarah Hammer is a slut" jokes from BR5? Because I'm not sure what the hell I was thinking. The jokes aren't funny, and they'd still be in poor taste if Sarah was a totally fictional character. But the fact that Sarah Hammer is intended to be a depiction of a real woman, and because I called her a slut for doing things which she is implied to have actually done in real life, makes the entire sequence completely inexcusable.

Silvana isn't transgendered. She's a hermaphrodite. Just putting that out there.

Sure. Sonichu makes all jokes worse because, in reality, every single character in it is either an actual living being or part of Chris' delusions. Neither is 'very' funny.

No, I know, but people seem to take "female body with a penis" as a cue to make jokes about trans people, regardless of whether the character is trans or not. And thank you, DStecks. That joke always really, really bothered me, especially with how much you emphasize Chris sexism (which is something a lot of other reviewers also gloss over). It's really awesome of you to admit that.

I think one of the things that works so well about these Sonichu reviews is the anger. To explain: The "angry critic" thing is very hard to pull off, and increasingly so. Unless you're in some semblance of character, it's very hard to justifiably blow your stack at, say, 90's children's entertainment, or even something like Sonichu. You don't blow your stack, though. Instead, you perfectly recapture that feeling of vexation - of pure unadulterated "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?" - that many of us felt when navigating our way through the issues.
