The rendering problems are serious. The review will not be up sooner than 4PM EST, and may not be up today at all if I can't find a workaround. :(

Oh son of a bitch now I'm mad. Found a workaround, the render will be done in half an hour.

I need to leave for work in 10 minutes.

Screw work. You're Canadian, tell them you have to stay home and prepare for Civic Day.

uploading now

EDIT: Right now Youtube is giving an upload time estimate of 37 hours, which cannot be right. I'll take a look at my internet connection, see what's going on.

I think YouTube is being serious about the whole 37 hour upload thing. Converting the video to a much smaller format which should also (hopefully) not hurt the quality too much.

I am extremely sorry, but due to internet fuckness it looks like the review won't be up until sometime early Sunday morning.

finally

Still appears to be processing, though, not sure why it's not showing up as HD yet.

Just watched it, nice one. I guess the skits don't hurt if they're only at the beginning and very short.
I never knew Chris used mad Photoshop skillz for the cover. I knew that he later uses it extensively at 4-cent-garbage HQ with the elevator.

I know that you say you do this is in a TGWTG style review but I have to say I really appreciate that you actually do some research into some of the stuff Chris does in the comics. I personally didn't know what the heck the whole Ghostbusters scene was about and you provided information about it instead of being obnoxious and asking "WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT" like how the actual TGWTG would do.

I also appreciate that you clarify how Chris' thought process works. I used to have to tutor and watch over several autistic children when I was in Elementary and High school because my teachers saw that I could connect with them well, although they might of thought I was autistic as well because I couldn't speak for a long time. Your explanations of how Chris likes to see that world as quantifiable laws helps me now understand that back then my autistic friends' logic wasn't flawed, they just had a different way of interpreting things. This information also helps me when I'm taking care of of my friend's autistic son.

Thank you.

There won't be a review this weekend, or the next. Sonichu Episode 16 is proving really difficult to write jokes for, for whatever reason, and I want to send out the Summer of Sonichu on a high note. The reason it won't be up next week either is because I'll be spending the week with my family at Fushimi Lake. I'll make sure to get the review done during the early part of the next week, though, since I'll also be spending much of it at FanExpo in Toronto; scheduled uploads make this less of a problem.

No problem, man. Do your best, and have fun! Fushimi Lake looks beautiful.

It's all good dude, I'd rather you spend your time IRL doing stuff (since it is still summer after all) rather than reviews. Hope you enjoy your trips!

Yeah, no worries about being late, I anyone gives you crap about it I'll give them the autisic rating.

Your reviews of this are awesomely enjoyable, DStecks. I'm happy to have subscribed to you to see them and your other work. You're pretty hilarious... and intelligent - simply for doing your research, despite how hard it must have been, knowing the concept / subject matter...

So, DStecks, how was the FanExpo?

Hope you can end the Summer of Sonichu with some more gold ;)

Expect some news soon, sorry for the silence.
looking forward to it, especially ep. 8 (along with everyone else, except you probably).

I just discovered your reviews...I like them better than Doug's in that you don't try too hard to be funny/abrasive and you let the material stand on its own, instead of injecting too much of your own opinion.

Wow, I'm really bad at "soon". The news vlog is being uploaded to YouTube now, but I won't be able to post it here until I get home from work, at ~11:30 EST. It'll be up much sooner on my channel itself, though, sometime in the next couple hours.

In summary, work conditions and a transitional period led to the end of the Summer of Sonichu, but my new work schedule is extremely accommodating of filming, so the plan is for biweekly episodes; but, Sonichu is going on the backburner for a while.
