Sonic's Ultimate Harem is, as I'm sure many of you already know, an infamously bad and unbelievably long fanfiction in which Sonic the Hedgehog has sex with a series of fictional women including Harley Quinn, Carmelita Fox, Princess Peach, She-Hulk, Chun-li, Coco Bandicoot and many, many, many others. It has been running since 2013 and in March 18 2019 it was finally brought to an end. In the last chapter Sonic decides to settle down with non other than Samus Aran. The autor Lil' Soniq, also known for such works as Shadow's Chaotic Harem, Hedgehog and his Fairies and Shadow vs Vegeta, has announced his retirement from writing.

In its complete state, Sonic's Ultimate Harem counts 360 chapters and 1,663,117 words. It is:
-2.2 times longer then the King James Bible (783,137 words)​
-11.5 times longer then The Iliad (145,145)​
-3.5 times longer than The Lord of the Rings trilogy (481,103)​
-almost 2 times longer than The Complete Works of Shakespear (884,421)​
Please respectfully pay respect to this influential and all-encompassing piece of literature.

Reminds me of "The Subspace Emissary's World Conquest," a fanfiction that's the longest written work ever created...that's still ongoing. Although I'm not sure which is worse, considering I can at least envision "Sonic's Ultimate Harem" being motivated by the guy getting off to his own writing, and he also knew when to stop.
 
The reviews are just filled to the brim with autism. I mean, not that I expected any different. Guess it was featured on Game Grumps at some point?

Game Grumps ruined it by reading it in their videos. Dan's a fucking dumbass. I'd kill myself if I was ever forced to hear a live spoken word event where he was the main.

That being said the Daisy chapter was hysterically bad

Still. We'll never again get such gems as "Sonic wore a black leather trench coat with a wife beater underneath, blue Crocs, fingerless mesh gloves..."
 
I was hoping the final chapter would be Mario and Sonic walking outside and finding the planet reduced to rubble because they spent the last 6 years talking about Sonic’s cock instead of fighting Robotnik and Bowser

I don't even pretend to understand why the author would write this for so long, but I'd be interested to see what they put their autistic energies into next.
