Y'see, to understand what Forspoken is, it was one of the many failed games being farted out by Square Enix, among other failed games they keep farting out every year, and this one stands out because it became this generation's ET Atari 2600 with several game copies buried. However, the joke is that Squeenix had normally side with Sony since the 90s (back then Square was separate from Enix until 2003), and both companies have been notable for left-wing identity politics made for and by libtards such as Hunter Biden, Brock Odunga, Movieslob, Sneed Sterling or my failure of a daughter Meg, and with leftist ideology, they proven to make the LGBTQ+ community and/or ideology serious business with marketing strategy targeting sad, pathetic millennials, zoomers and moms over at Twitter, tumblr, Instagram, etc. But the other meaning of the word, gay, has more of an old school vocabulary meaning behind it, as it really means "happy," and another term of happy is "fun." So to reiterate, Forspoken is a flaming faggot game for libtards, and even made by libtards, but it's never a fun game and therefore, it never will be. Well, I hope Office Depot has the same price of $599. Or I could just be wrong and it'll pretty much be a little bit cheaper. Or it could just be available in thrift stores like Goodwill, Savers or Salvation Army.

The $600 is for the PSVR, on top of the $500 you're paying for the PS5 itself. That's $1100. For around the same amount, you can build yourself a VR-ready rig:

But in that scenario aren't you paying $1100 for the rig, and then you need to pay for the VR headset on top of it?

Not to defend Sony, but you're still looking at paying a lot more for a dedicated VR Rig and Headset, and aren't VR headsets basically starting at 500 dollars and that's without all the other shit you need?

VR Rigs are a lot cheaper now since the hardware has improved, you could get a 10 series card for cheap, or used. Also you can get used Vives for around 300 bucks nowadays that have superior tracking compared to the oculus mobile phones + no facebook tracking. Buying new is more expensive but those WMR headsets are pretty cheap, avoid facebook stuff like a plague.

Edit: I ran SteamVR Performance Test on my Steam Deck

Edit again: it says windows 10 because of Proton, I ran it in SteamOS.

VR is permenantly stuck in a cycle of the headsets being too expansive for massive adoption and nobody making good games for VR because no one is buying them. If you want to see whats coming to VR you can check out the Playstation event that happened a couple of weeks ago they had an entire section dedicated to VR. If you don't want to bother watching it a lot of the games are fps' with physics gimmicks where you can throw boxes oat enemies and stuff and Residen Evil 4 remake in VR. I think that is probably the best you are going to get due to VR being permenantly stuck in a cycle of the headsets being too expansive for massive adoption and nobody making good games for VR because no one is buying them.
