Kinda surprised they're not doing PC at launch. And lol, cross-gen releases are still the norm this far in, though that makes sense when even the PS4 should be overpowered for anything primarily made for Switch.
Reminds me of when the Wii helped keep a lot of PS2 ports alive, since if they were going to get a Wii port out, might as well target PS2 too.

I still get discouraged that we will never have a Ape Escape game made for the PS5 and/or Nintendo Switch.

You can give us updated versions of Ratchet & Clank and Crash Bandicoot/Spyro The Dragon, but no Ape Escape?

That just sucks 😔

Who is "you?" Because Activision owns Crash and Spyro but Sony owns Ratchet and Ape Escape.

Nihon Falcom doesn't have any in-house team in charge of developing PC ports, that's the role of Clouded Leopard Entertainment (a group founded by ex-Sony employees from the Asia region after the californian HQ laid them off) which also publishes Falcom games primarily for the chinese and korean markets. NISA picks up the same role for the western markets but at a much slower pace by comparison (and Durante needs to be present otherwise the ports are NISA-quality certified).

And yeah, PS4 cross-gen releases are still going to be a thing in 2024, yet to be entirely phased out, while we're about to enter the fourth year of the PS5's lifespan.

Three years in folks and no Covid is not an excuse anymore.

I get that I'm probably late to the party, but holy shit, this fucking list is full of weird copes and this is still the best they could come up with. In alphabetical order:

Astro's Playroom - A decently fun, but short, tech demo. Not really any meat to it, and no replayability

Dark Pictures: Switchback VR - Gimmicky VR tech demo trash that is technically a psvr2 exclusive, not a ps5 exclusive. Your $500 ps5 will not play this game, which stretches the definition of being a ps5 exclusive.

Demon's Souls - This will never stop making me mad. This is not by any metric an exclusive. This is a literal ps3 game with higher graphical fidelity, but worse graphics.

Destruction Allstars - Live service shovelware that is quite literally only notable for being a ps5 exclusive and nothing else. Most likely to remain an exclusive by the end of the generation, as there's no point in porting it so it can flop again, and it will likely be shut down by then anyways.

FF7R2 - PS5 EXCLUSIVE!* (*For only 3 months). Will probably be on egs for the first year of its life on pc though, so hey, that's basically another year of ps5 exclusivity as far as most people are concerned.

Horizon Call of the Mountain - More VR tech demo nonsense, this time, set in the least organically pushed franchise in video game history, I mean HERstory! Again, hard to call it a ps5 exclusive when you need an additional $550 peripheral to play it.

Wolverine - At this point given insomniac's track record, likely a ps6 launch title, probably on pc too.

Rise of the Ronin - Unreleased, and likely won't release for a long time. Might end up decent, who knows, either way, not a good reason to buy a ps5 right now.

Spider man 2 - Miles finally gets a decent story written about him, and now they want to shove him everywhere even harder than they were doing before the first spiderverse movie. Will likely be decent at worst, but overall unexceptional, and bundled to hell and back. Also very likely to come to pc within 12 months.

Stellar Blade - A mediocre korean game trying really hard to pass itself off as a japanese game. Another for the category of thoroughly unremarkable except for it being on the very short list of ps5 exclusives. Also, mid september and not having a release date other than "2023" isn't a red flag or anything.

And sad as it is, that's legitimately it.

Imagine if Ronin & Stellar Blade suck and/or get ported to PC (likely for both, especially the latter as it was originally announced for PC too) like the Marvel turds lol.

Destruction All-Stars is going to be the PS5's legacy :story:

I'm not retyping my post from yesterday and I got a lotta gangsta shit to do today but I'm just gonna say the original Xbox fuckin rules and if you don't like it your gay

It is a great system with a great library of games, but it is not without its faults. Earlier models had an issue where the capacitor relating to the internal clock of the system would expand and leak, corroding the motherboard. You literally had to go in and rip the faulty part out of the board to prevent it from destroying the machine. Also, Microsoft hardware engineers in their infinite wisdom decided that the disk drive tray eject mechanism would hinge on a rubber band that over time would loose grip causing the tray to malfunction. I know because I've had to open mine and dismantle the entire disc drive assembly to replace the damn thing,

Why even bother to have yearly showcase events? If a game enters production today it won't even be out during the current generation, doubtful games that went into production anytime in the last three years will make it before we are already talking about a ps6. AAA is pants on head retarded

>b-but we got Bloodborne!
>b-b-but we got FFXVI!

It's time to kneel to the XBVLL (and Steam). Microcock does a better catering to niggers and in a few years, Sony will realize their money is fucking gone (FOR. EVER.) and will pull the plug. And you will be happy. Imagine having fucking Druckmann as a writer for an exclusive.
It's so over. It's never have been this over.

The bloodborne argument also holds no fucking water because people have been slobbering like retards at the idea of a remaster, but no.

TLOU? Yeah that game deserves 3 seperate releases.
Not to mention that all fucking snoy releases have been movies with interactive elements.
Are the soy breed of niggercattle this retarded?
I swear to god the modern Playstation user is almost as bad as nintentroons.

Just a reminder

Real shame that whenever Sony gives them a golden opportunity, Microsoft fumbles the bag horrendously each and every time. They keep getting set up for super easy wins, and never capitalize on them. It's not that I want Microsoft to dominate, but having something more balanced like the 360 vs PS3 was would be nothing but healthy for the industry as a whole.

I mean the Switch is already dominating Sony and basically ran them out of Japan. I consider that good enough. We don't need Microsoft shitting the industry up with their anti-consumer practices and "lets just buy EVERYBODY" bullshit.
