Sony hate thread

Some more GT news with the downtime, Darren Barnet has been casted for the Gran Turismo movie.

And GT7's September update is now live, and features yet again a whopping 3 cars, and some scapes backgrounds. That's it.

And not surprisingly, the GT fans are not happy with the lack of content, yet again.
This is one of the most retarded movie ideas I've heard in a while. Of all the gaming franchises to make a movie out of, this is the one they picked?
Also, from that article:
However he’ll also be recognized by fans of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD as a younger version of future villain Wilfred Malick, as Max in the bizarrely Zoom-filmed Untitled Horror Movie, and as the first ever male brand ambassador for Victoria’s Secret “Pink”.
I really didn't need that image in my head.

Sony is trying to make movies and TV shows out of all their gaming franchises, even if it wouldn't make sense, in the case of GT.

The game also mentions the C8 Corvette, even though that car is one of the many modern ones, that aren't even in the game.

What the hell is Sony and Polyphony even thinking? It seems like they're shooting everything they got and trying to see if something sticks. If the movie happens, it's going to be worse than the Need for Speed movie. Also what the hell is with that update, you get 2 super concept super high tech cars and one little nissan silvia from the 90s. That trailer felt like they're either making fun of themselves, or the customers.

Did Marissa get threadbanned or did he finally give up?
My money’s on him falling into the abyss of mandatory password reset. RIP anyone with a throwaway email.
I'm confused, is this a new LittleBigPlanet, or some kind of spin-off?
If LBP is 2D Mario and LBP Karting is Mario Kart, Sackboy is Mario 3D World. It was a PS5 launch title that was also on PS4.

How on God's green Earth can you make a movie based on racing?

The Gran Turismo movie seems like it’s 10 to almost 20 years too late. If it’s not going to be based on the PS2 version like GT3: A-Spec, then what’s the point?

It would be like getting Jesse from Breaking Bad to be in the Need for Speed movie that was mostly forgotten by people that never played or cared for the NFS series.

More of a rhetorical question, but what the fuck is Sony doing?! Now that their gaming division is in danger of bleeding money like a motherfucker they start with even more retarded business decisions. What's next, their own streaming service?!

Need for Speed got an movie for some reason.
apparently it's not even that bad, but some NFS games had a story at least. the original most wanted could've worked just fine as a movie.

what fucking story does GT have?

Will the cars be talking to each other like in Cars or will the movie feature all those memorable human characters that GT is known for?
My favorites are the NPCs in GT4 that jump out in the road during the rally races in the special events category. So much backstory and history of crazy group b fans that they can explore.

GT movie based on a true story
Based on a true story, the film is the ultimate wish fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver.
So I get how they could make it into a movie but it honestly sounds worse than an ass pull story they could have done, no way this movie doesn't turn out being about how great of a game GT is and a right self fellatio of a movie dressed up as a inspirational movie.
