Sorry to burst your bubble, but Gex was owned by Eidos, which was subsequently bought out by Square Enix, and is, more than likely, one of the IPs Square Enix sold to Embracer Group.

A HD remaster of Ace Combat 004 would be amazing. Maybe turn the illustrations in the cutscenes into CG animations like it is in AC5.

And no censorship. That would be nice.

I'd prefer remasters or even ports (like AC5 got) of BOTH 04 and Zero myself.

Wingman's good, but it's definitely no Ace Combat. There's some things it does better gameplay-wise, but it's presentation doesn't totally jive with being Ace Combat-like, despite clearly making Ace Combat its biggest inspiration.

AC4 had a unique presentation, I still have shitty mpeg trailer stored somewhere, but Wingman feels more like the otherworldly familiar than later AC games. I've played since AC1 and by AC4 it felt a bit stale but the story and presentation(plus graphics) really refreshed it.

I haven't played it but I saw some gameplay of it. From watching the gameplay, it's a very nice fan made tribute to the Ace Combat games but I felt it's still not really the same. It's kinda like all the anti gravity racers is to Wipeout. There are some really nice ones like Ballistic NG but it's still not the same. I don't know what it is about Ace Combat. There's a certain je ne sais quoi to an aviation focused military air combat game with western characters made by the Japanese.

I understand what you mean but it works and it does some things that AC4 or other games in the series could have done but didn't(as far as I'm aware).

Did they officially confirm it somewhere? They haven't actually confirmed what IPs they grabbed aside from Tomb Raider, Legacy of Kain, Deus Ex, and Thief, far as I'm aware.
