To think, these are the same developers that made the original Spyro trilogy and Ratchet and Clank. WTF happened?! Rhetorical question btw, ESG happened. Still, shit sucks *sigh*

I would not be surprised if there was not a single person on the Spider-man 2 team who worked on those titles. I know that studios have their "cultures" and all, so there may be some legacy continuance as people come in and out, but most of the people calling the shots now are likely not the same ones who were there in the company's golden years, all that's the same is the name. Same thing that happens at any game studio over decades.

I wish a site existed like Moby Games that let you directly compare credits' rosters across multiple games. It has stuff like "frequent collaborators", but that's not quite what I want. You could probably chart the drop-off in talent at a studio with each release. "Oh, only 10% of people who worked on Game Y also worked on its predecessor, Game X? No wonder it turned out to be a mess."

The original teams always get Ship of Theseus'd to a shell of its former self with nobody from the golden years remain. Not even just ESG but just managerial incompetence, like EA or Microsoft killing their studios.

Pretty much this, most of the developers pushing franchises from decades ago have nothing to do with the original and just use them as skinsuits. Sometimes they do something good with their own vision, but most of the time they "will totally make it better" and fuck up miserably, but this isn't particularly new.

Alright here's the reasoning behind my thought process.

Nintendo doesn't have enough fps or mature stuff for me to care about besides doom. Zelda and Mario are cool but ehhhh I've played that before and it never really changes enough for me. It's just too kiddie and doesn't have enough power to play bigger games (admittedly the switch 2 sounds interesting)

Xbox doesn't have anything I want that isn't on PlayStation with how badly they've handled halo and gears.

Even if most psn exclusives are pc ported, I prefer console over PC.

I'm not buying fagetman 2 or any of that diverse shit.

If it's good and not gay I buy it for a dollar. Like RoboCop (comes out next month)
So you like PlayStation, but you hate their trend of funding wokeshit. You are in a pickle. Here's what you do: If you already bought a PS5, enjoy it until it breaks. Then either fix it, sell it for parts, or use it as a doorstop, and seriously give it some thought on whether or not you want to buy another one to replace it, or jump aboard another platform. When the next generation rolls around, it'll be time again for you to consider who you want to go with. Of course, I'd recommend PC, but PC still has a slew of its own problems, and you probably won't ever be as happy with one as you would a console. Maybe the successor to the Switch will make you happy. Lord knows Nintendo sure is getting everything, and then some.

The real loser however was the Sonic game which was unfortunate to come out on the same day as the other two:
To their credit, who doesn't have copies of those old Sonic games somewhere in their collection? There were already at least two ways to play Sonic 2 on Switch, through Sega Genesis Collection and the emulator for their paid subscription thing. Having it go against Mario Wonder though is just :story:

You do know Superstars is a completely new game, right?

The slim PS2 is my favorite looking console, it is literally the size of two DVD cases stacked on top of one another. There's almost no slack above the memory card slot and below the controller port.

Like I'll shit on Sony and the PS2 itself all day, but I cannot deny that the PS2 Slim is a masterpiece.
Just hope you got the 7900 model else enjoy all of your discs getting scratched or the console overheating itself

I have two of them and never had that problem.

Most of the stuff I played on them were just DVD-Rs via FreeMcBoot, so even if they get scratched, I'll just run off another copy.

Arent dvdr s getting somewhat rare esp quality ones like verbatim but theres mx4iso for playing games off a memory card. Also why is decent wireless adapters for the ps2 barely a thing only one i could find is brook and that thing costs close to 50$ dollars in my country

Spider-Man 2:
- The New Normal
- BIPOC
- LGBT Matchmaking

Mario Wonder:
- wowie zowie
And Nintendo continues to laugh all the way to the bank. Also, I have to say that it is really funny to see BLM murals and what not all over this game given that BLM is now despised by Globohomo and BlackRock. Can you all guess why? I have to agree with Nerdrotic on this. We will be seeing less Woke shit in the future and all it took was the economy going to shit and a possible world war for that to happen.

Here's a hundred pack for $28: https://www.newegg.com/verbatim-16x-4-7-gb-dvd-r/p/N82E16817507005

They were niche to begin with, considering PS2 didn't have very many reasons to go online at all. I guess the stock got bought up over the years because HDLoader is an overall better way to play most games than even legitimate discs, what with the faster loading and all.

A perfectly round can from Shenmue, a Sega Dreamcast game from 1999:

He is talking about wireless controllers.

Probably because nobody wants to compete with Brook. Their adapters are pretty good.
