What’s preachy about this? It’s just Wade being stupid by equating video games to real life.

Nope, this is a perfect example of more detail != more visually appealing. That second panel is grotesque.
Those fucking teeth man.

"Buy this piece of junk we'll only support for a year and then pretend never existed!"

The funny thing is, I remember the PSVIta doing home streaming with the PS4 as a selling point, aside from how it was its own game system. Even that flopped. The PlayStation Portal seriously seems like something designed by a committee of people who do not understand games at all.

Imagine your Marvel capeshit goyslop that you spent hundreds of millions on losing to a kiddie platformer with no where near the budget of your capeshit goyslop. In all seriousness though I am really enjoying the new Mario game. It is just good and wholesome fun and I look forward to introducing the game to my little cousin who loves Mario so much that he has seen the movie several hundreds times now.

They could’ve just made a phone app with a fancy branded controller.

They already did all of that. Corporate suits are clinically retarded.

Apparently Bungie pushed some Destiny expansion back from Feb to June, putting it outside the fiscal 2023 year.

Is Destiny healthy under Sony? I hear nothing about it anymore besides the cash shop.

This whole GAAS shit and SIE pissing off all their studios seems to be really breaking apart several companies, isn't it.

I worked for a company that regularly sold a variety of energy drinks and other caffeinated beverages to people. We regularly watched videos about what the new products were and how to sell them to customers. I distinctly remember a scenario where the people in the video introduced a caffeinated protein shake and just told us to tell the customer, "This will replace your coffee in the morning."

This had me chuckling to myself.

Let me springboard into my analogy. These corporations seem to think that their consumers don't care about how a product is packaged, so long as it gets to them. In this case, the corporation believes that caffeine is just a substance people want to intake. They have zero concept of the fact that making coffee, pouring it into a special mug, and sipping it throughout the morning isn't just a means of putting caffeine in your body. It's a ritual. Rituals can't be replaced overnight.

For games, it used to be about boxes, cartridges, and CDs--having a physical object to hold in your hand. You bought and owned the game. This stuff decorates peoples houses. People ritualized buying, owning, and playing video games. Corporations can't just digitize everything, slow drip a product, and call it a night. That's not how people work.

It's completely shifted from actual development to the bare minimum with maximum cash output. Not a Sony thing, they were working towards it before the purchase. Expansions cost as much as a full game just for the base, then you need to pay over 100 bucks to get access to the actual yearly content; 4 seasons, which they raised the price of from 1000 silver (10 bucks) to 1200 silver (the 10 dollar silver bundle only gives you 1100 silver, the next one up is 15 dollars), dungeons that used to be included with the expansion are now paid at 20 bucks (silver only of course) and the dungeons are now worse when they made them paid, being more formulaic and bare minimum with lacking rewards that are reskins of existing weapons with some minor doodles added on top.

The game's performance took a shit ever since Beyond Light when they did some engine overhauls, and they no longer have Vicarious Visions to clean up their mess, so the game is breaking apart at the seams. Made even worse by them shifting gameplay from weapon focused to ability focused and spamming cannon fodder enemies. The game is dying because of all these changes, enemy AI doesn't even work anymore and they have stopped reacting to grenades or players, they are just standing targets. Enemy teleportation and them not being affected by damage is another big issue that cropped up every other season, the network packets are bloated to hell with how many perks are attached to each weapon now, made worse with crafting. I stopped playing a year ago but I keep tabs on whats going on and all of this has gotten worse, and apparently their servers just broke for weeks while bungie called it a 'ddos attack' (the game is mostly p2p), and then the bloated weapon perks broke the servers and people were able to put any perk on any crafted weapon and 1 shot raid bosses, then they hacked a fix together that recently resulted in the game just crashing when you try and transfer crafted weapons to the vault, which caused player data to rollback because it wasn't saved, so people were re-rolling item drops and stuff.

Through all of this, the cash shop works perfectly, and they continue to raise the prices on everything while releasing less and less content with each release.

Those layoffs will probably be the hundreds of people that don't actually do anything and just run those 'trans and bungie' 'black at bungie' 'latinx at bungie' things instead of working.

Destiny is dead rn, Marathon: "Escape from Tarkoff" edition will be the real test of Soyny bungie
Bungo unironically getting what they fucking deserve.
This video is everything wrong with post-Microsoft Bungie and GAAS in general:

Shit is legit like something straight out of robocop

The community management people are cucks and terrible people, they deserve it. They ban people from the game for not being woke or having problematic takes on twitter. One guy got second place in the Vault of Glass raid race and his name was 'Black lives don't matter' and they banned him for it.

I've seen people get banned for saying based things in reply to CMs and Bungie tweets. I usually don't have hatred for people working on games, but these CM people seriously deserve it, and I think most players (who aren't trannies) would probably agree with me.

There is also the whole SayNoToRage situation where a bunch of female streamers colluded with Bungie cms to deplatform SNTR because he was successful, they accused him of rape or something and hes been perma banned from everything. Someone else might know more about it, since its pretty buried these days. UpperEchelon covered it:

If anyone knows anything about this situation recently, what is this about?

No, the PS4 game starts off you with fighting Fisk.

Right, but that's the 2018 game.

The first thing you are tasked with in Spider-man (2014) is taking down Fisk

Emphasis added. The 2014 game is TAS2, based on the movie. That's where I got confused.

they accused him of rape or something and hes been perma banned from everything.

What's this? A young man accused of rape based completely on anecdotal evidence? Obviously he's guilty.
