I don't read capeshit at all so my recommendations are DMZ and Sweet Tooth, both for their unique art and stories. DMZ is very pre-woke political and sombre in tone, about a worst Korea/best Korea situation happening in the US, with NYC being the titular DMZ. My favourite US comic for years, the artwork is unparalleled. Sweet Tooth i can't even describe really, very fantastical plot, i initially got turned off by what i assumed was furry artwork but really isn't and the plot is just very original all throughout. Plus it has a not-Frank Castle as one of its main characters.
Edit:
I think McFarlane hasn't been involved with Spawn for more than a decade now, it's just his characters and name slapped on. I remember shortly before i dropped the book there was a phase when the writers changed on an almost weekly basis, leading to predictably terrible results. But yeah, Image has/had some good limited runs of comics but nothing on the scale of Spawn or TWD. From what i can tell Image is at least not as pozzed as the big two, though i might be wrong as most stuff i read is older, finished series.
