Completely off topic question, but as someone with a Steam library that is starting to get chonky, is there any sort of centralized place for cracked .exe files that isn't a nest of malware? I may want to consider making a library of those in case Steam suddenly explodes someday and doesn't leave a fix to run shit without having to validate with the steam servers.
Game Copy World has just the cracked EXEs. There is also GoldbergEmu for breaking Steam DRM, which works for most games. There is another one called SmartSteamEmu but I'm not sure how well that works these days.

Now, if you wanted to challenge the legality of such agreements I think that might be possible, but Sony has such fuck you money you'd need someone who would be willing to waste damn near a decade of their life for free or find someone who is willing to fund it. Not sure if Microsoft can do that, but it'd be funny if they could.

@AnOminous can probably explain this a lot better and correct me.
It would be a class action because that's how you deal with a company fucking over millions of people for amounts small enough no single person would have the resources to sue over it. The kind of firms that do class actions have more money than God too.

Companies have a lot of leeway to use those bullshit clauses that they can change the contract any time they like and you can like it or lump it, but just saying "lmao we have your money we aren't giving you anything ever" isn't even a contract, that's just stealing.

Companies don't really have egos so usually the case gets past a motion to dismiss or motion for summary judgment and then everyone sits down and figures out what a trial would cost and whether they'd win or not and settles it, with the class action firm getting millions and the class members getting a packet of birdseed.

Since nobody seems to be covering this. Sony did a MAJOR fuckie wuckie.

Yesterday, during the time period of 7 to 8pm (Centar Yurop Time),
many PSN accounts got permanently banned completely out of nowhere with no reason given.

One thing to be noted is that during the incident there's a pattern
of what types of people were affected by this issue which includes:
-People living in Central Europe and Carolinas
-People that used protonmail
-People that had 2FA

During the whole incident, the r/psn jannies were sweeping the posts
reporting this issue up.

There has been no major gaming news outlet that has reported on this incident with
with an exception for one recently written article on Verge, with most discussion about this happening
at the reddit post (archive) and REEEEset Era

Sony has yet to issue a statement about this, but from screenshots and reports in the reddit thread where other users contacted Sony's (retarded) support it is confirmed that it's a fuck up from their side, with some of them even saying that Sony support outright refused to take their calls or hung up.

Remember kids, fuck "digital gaming" and buy physical video games.

EDIT: Some of the accounts that got affected by this major ban wave have been unbanned.

I only remember I have one when I want to participate in an open beta or play a demo, but that definitely sounds like it would have nailed one of my mock regional accounts... They really are a bunch of fucking failures at this point

For all their faults, I have never had my account hacked or banned on Xbox Live
A few years ago Microsoft forced 2FA on all Xbox and Xbox360 accounts out of nowhere. So if the contact space for your phone or second email was left blank the 2FA service would just spam that blank address or number over and over to send you your code. And it would count it as failed login attempts and then lock your account. They turned the 2FA off but it bricked a few older Xbox and 360 units.

wow cookies AND a big plastic disc. Way to show the man out with style. Did they get his hair in the divorce because that side profile is looking rough.

Thanks for greenlighting and tying up your first-party studios with twelve fucking live service games that will all immediately fail, Jim
