Finally Sony appears to be working on a good game.

Silly Sony, they don't realize that black trans women aren't enough, they also have to have vitiligo, be blind in one eye, have more than one amputated limb, and make watermelon references as a lowkey reference to FREE PALESTINE.

Real talk tho honestly what was the last Sony game you were actually interested in playing? For me it was probably Uncharted 4, despite all the woke BS they shoehorned into it, it really felt like Sony's (and Naughty Dog's) last hurrah and I haven't given a single shit about any of the movie game capeshit gayslop they've been making ever since.

I felt like uncharted 4 was a neat tech demo for small details, but I never had any interest in actually playing the thing. Ghosts of Tsushima at least seems neat, it's a better asscreed in japan than the actual asscreed in japan will end up being, but not neat enough for making a psn account for a singleplayer steam game. I guess even though it's basically only published by sony, my answer would have to be bloodborne.

Honestly its hard for me to say. I remember the Last of Us being hyped up so I was interested in that. But when I got it I liked its story but didn't like the gameplay at all. And I was already sour on Uncharted 3 so even back then I realized that this was the direction Sony was going.

Even the Ratchet and Clank games on the PS3 I wasn't even that hyped about as I figure that they'd be alright and more of the same. Which for the most part they were. I will say though that Demon's Souls was a massive pleasant surprise. I was just getting every Atlus published game at the time and never played anything like it before.

So yeah thats like 11 years. On the PS4 I really only cared about the 3rd party games. Like sure I played through Death Stranding. And I played maybe 30 minutes of Horizon. And naturally got suckered into the trainwreck that was No Mans Sky. But I wasn't really too hyped or interested in any of them.

Published? Stellar Blade.

Developed? Uhh... MediEvil (PS4) kinda. If it came to PC I'd be interested. We only get their absolute slop though.

I was sort of interested in getting a PS5 to play Gran Turismo 7, but the lack of availability at the time of GT7's release, and the game turning out to be a disappointment and not the "return to old GT" that PD said in their marketing, meant that I dodged a bullet by not getting the game and a PS5.

And even if it were to get a PC Port, I don't think I would buy it. I would like to see Gran Turismo's take on the open-world racing genre, ala The Crew and Forza Horizon, to see how well (or how they'll fail) it turns out.

According to this list the most recent game released I was interested in playing was The Last Guardian released December 6, 2016. I never played it or bought it because I heard it wasn't good.

If we ignore that, I briefly fell for Vita boys fake hype for Tearaway, released November 20, 2013, and about 30 mins in realized it was kusoge.

If we stick to interested in playing and liked playing, it's Tokyo Jungle released June 7, 2012.

The Last of Us 1 was the last Sony game I bought. That was in 2014.

I think the most recent one I own is Until Dawn, though I got it for a song from a Redbox clearance. It was cheesy and crappy, and I barely played it. I figured I'd sit through it some day, but never did, as I came to realize I have no interest in their stupid movie games.

The most recent one I have that I didn't even ask for was Horizon: Zero Dawn, because they gave it away for free during COVID. I never cared to even install it. Same for the Uncharted trilogy. I really didn't like Uncharted 1 and never bothered trying the rest.

The most recent game I wanted, and really enjoyed, was Tokyo Jungle. A game from eleven years ago.

By the way, here's a big list of their games: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sony_Interactive_Entertainment_video_games

By the way, here's a big list of their games:
According to that list, Freedom Wars & Dead Nation were the last Sony developed games I actually played and liked, and even those were both like a 7/10.

There's a few later ones I haven't played yet that I'm sure I'd like but that really drives home how dead Sony is to me.

To illustrate just how dire things are for the PS5, in a few short months, the PS5 will turn 4 years old and enter its 5th year on the market. Here's what it has to show for that:
14. Fourteen. One-Four. In the 43 months that the PS5 has been on the market, it's racked up an impressive average of 0.325 exclusives per month. But wait, because it gets so much worse than that.

Of those 14, one is Demon's Souls (2020). A ps3 port. Not exclusive.
Of the remaining 13, 3 (Death Stranding 2, Astro Bot, and Wolverine) haven't been released yet. Some would quibble about whether or not that really means they don't count, but I already established my "X games in 43 months" format, so I'm striking them for the purposes of this.
Of the remaining 10, 2 (FF7Rebirth, Spiderman 2) have been either confirmed or leaked for pc release.
Of the remaining 8, 2 (Horizon Call of the Mountain, Dark Pictures Switchback VR) are NOT PS5 exclusive and are actually PSVR2 exclusive. If your console cannot play those games and instead requires an additional device that's more expensive than the console itself, they're exclusive to that device.

This leaves us with 6 legitimate exclusives. 0.14 exclusives per month. What's the quality of those exclusives? Destruction Allstars and Quantum Error are unplayable shovelware that will only remain exclusive because porting them to steam will literally cost more money than they have any chance of making back through additional sales on pc. Astro's Playroom and Silent Hill short message are free demos that clock in under a couple hours. Astro's is fine, but lacking in depth or content, while Silent Hill is pseudointellectual drivel about muh cyberbullying. And finally, we have Rise of the Ronin, and Stellar Blade, two games that are ok, but in my opinion rather mediocre, and I think everyone can agree that almost 100% of the publicity they got was FOR being the only PS5 exclusives.

Quantum Error apparently already had PC & Xbox X|S ports in development:

As the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S near their third birthdays, it's becoming more and more commonplace for new releases to finally ditch last-gen consoles for performance parity across platforms. In this case, Quantum Error is both cancelling a version and adding another, as TeamKill also confirmed that the game will now come to PC as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but not at launch.

It's probably worth noting that almost all of those exclusives were published by Sony themselves. I really hope the rest got big paychecks from Sony, because it's a terrible idea to keep your game exclusive in this day and age. There's no reason to, unless your publisher can cough up as much money as you'd make from selling it on every other platform to make it worth not porting your game around.

Need for Speed World is perhaps the best open world racing game. Good times with that game.

Rise of the Ronin is almost certainly coming to PC since it's referred to as a "console exclusive", and I'd be very surprised if Stellar Blade (which started as a PC game and I think they made comments implying it'll still happen) doesn't find it's way to PC too.

I think Stellar Blade looks genuinely good, I gifted my friend a copy, but I'll play it myself if it hits PC. Seems like a 7/10 at least, probably 8/10. Ronin I'm not sure, that's a bit more generic looking.

So essentially PS5 just has a couple good/decent timed-exclusives, and a few woke/trash timed-exclusives. Amazing.

I feel like everyone knows they're destined for pc releases, but without explicit confirmation and/or a reliable leak, I'm being as fair and charitable to that list as I can possibly be. I wouldn't go as far as saying I'm steelmanning them, but "yeah, probably coming to pc" isn't enough for me to discount them quite yet. Again though, even without discounting them, FAR from enough of a reason to actually buy a PS5.

Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. Sony was able to bring back two series that hit me specifically as they comprised my childhood PS2-PS3 collections.

Before that, god, probably LBP3 back in 2014. The 2nd game was great, so I wanted a PS4 for it, only for 3 to be unfinished and for me to barely touch it. Hell, I barely touched the PS4 at all, only exceptions being DC Comics games. For being at their lowest with the Wii U, Nintendo was clearly beating Sony in terms of having content.
