I fucking HATE this "Pro" console refresh trend and I hate it even more when they demand $700 Burgerbux plus separate disc drive plus tax plus tip. This industry cannot crater fast enough. Take me back to 2003.

Methinks that the gaming industry is trying to condition the consumer away from physical media. Or, rather, general ownership. I recall the detachable disc drive requires a firmware update to USE.

Who is making these decisions? SCEA? Sony Japan? It's tone deaf to parody.

If you want the real PS5 experience, though, you need to keep your GPU thermal throttled and make sure your (underclocked) RAM stays at least at a cool 91°.

The real question is: are they tripling down on HDMI 2.1? I find it extraordinarily bizarre that they just refuse to move to a more modern output.

It still baffles me. They planned to release a console at that high of a price, with the console itself having add-ons that should be the default, with a (basically) launch title that's a multiplayer only game that flopped and they don't even have a game like Demon Souls remake to push it. The hubris is jaw-dropping.

I don't think that even a BloodBorne Remaster could have saved this to be honest. The autist on the emulating sphere are making advancements to make that game playable on PC as we speak. Sony is lossing all it's chips in stupid gambles, soon they are going to start seeing the felt on the table before (methaphorically) loosing it all. :lossmanjack:

Holy shit Sony really expect bongs, who can't afford to heat their houses in the winter, to pay $915 for a self-assembly console? While the PS5 is already well known for not having any games anyway?

Absolute lunacy. Can see how something like Concord happened now, the management are either clinically retarded or wasted 24/7.

It’s like they’re actively trying to speedrun their way out of the console market. Least Microsoft has Gamepass and Windows itself to fall back on, and Nintendo if old Internet rumours are to be believed has enough of a war chest to weather a potential collapse, the fuck does Sony have as a backup? Overpriced TV’s and shitty movies?

The new cope from Sonyfags is "You're pour if you can' afford this" and "for the price:power, it's well worth it!", missing on the fact that people can afford, they just choose not to because they have a brain. The power on paper maybe worth it, but I like to play GAMES with my GAMES CONSOLE.

Remember when people said GTA6 will sell PS5PRO? GTA 6 will be £70 + £700 for the PS5PRO + £20/month for PSN. lolololololol. 2024 is the clowniest current year to date.
