Bungie bought themselves out from ActiBlizz and immediately put D2 on steam (only for Blizzard to start doing the same shit five years later). I don't know how any contract between Sony and Kadokawa could be fumbled in a way that the Bloodborne IP which Sony owns could leave their possession.

Edit: some clarification. Sony's acquisition of Bungie changed nothing about the status of Destiny 2 on Steam. The Blizzard titles currently on Steam are there due to the Microsoft buyout and even then, its not their full catalog. Blizzard really really hates Valve.

You mean like the gay incestuous subplot in Shadow of the Erdtree? Sony doesn't really force all that stuff into their games it just so happens that the people that work for Sony happen to be far left leaning (California). Some of them don't work there anymore thanks to Concord while most of them hold prominent positions in all major studios. Steller Blade was more risque than all of From Software's portfolio combined. Truth is FromSoftware doesn't make anything the average western studio would object to.

Another argument is that FromSoft's games will get homogenized with Sony's similar style of vapid AAA games. That's entirely possible but Sony has always given their star creators full control over their project i.e. Hideo Kojima

If anything Sony has a lot of resources that FromSoft can utilize to ensure their ports don't run like complete ass. Kojima Productions is a great case study for what happens when Sony's tech brilliance is given to someone with actual artistic intent. I'm sure the gravure guy has more to worry about than FromSoftware fans.

As an explicit part of the agreement Bungie was allowed to maintain full control of their decision-making, including what titles they work on and what platforms they release on, as long as they hit certain financial benchmarks. This wasn't a "fuck up", Sony knew all about it when they signed the deal.

Since Sony already owns the Bloodborne IP they still would have the ability to block it from release elsewhere even if this was just the Bungie deal again- which it probably isn't.
