Sony hate thread

The problem with pre-modern Japan settings nowadays is that it's all boring realistic shit. No one cares about the autistic social rules of a feudal bugman society. Fill your game with big titty ninjas doing magic and samurai cutting buildings in half. That's the shit I actually want.

I feel the same way about ultra-grounded medieval european settings like KCD and such.

Holy shit, that narration. It sounds like the guy was literally reading the script for the very first time while they recorded it and they just went with that take. Especially the part where's listing all the warlord names and it sounds like he's audibly trying his best to pronounce them correctly without ever having read or said them before.
the 90's were a magical time.
fun fact, I saw a video just a few years ago (think it was from formlabs regarding sla print) I swear was the same guy.

Does anyone like these new GoW games? I saw some LPs and they looked unimaginably slow and plodding.
Didn't play Ragnacuck so no idea how well this holds true there.
On a whole no but there are some things I liked about the first, namely how the water level in the lake drops as the game progresses opening up new areas. The puzzles are really lame but if you've seen that clip of one of the devs at GDC or whatever describing how they were made for the likes of DSP, you already knew that. The game itself is surprisingly punishing early though once you get your hands on a few moves and gear upgrades, most of the challenge is gone. I quite liked being forced to carefully consider how to approach even minor encounters. Once you have some ability cooldown, the combat boils down to timing your abilities. I also liked the "challenge" area, Niflheim or whatever it was called, the one filled with the poison gas, and the hunt for all the Valkyries. The Valkyrie queen is a bullshit fight though.
Edit: this was on hard. It's probably an absolute cakewalk on easy or normal out the gate.

I liked the game. The story in the first was better. It's also about my speed, I'm not a high speed FPS/action game person.
Look at that shit though, it's abysmal character design. It's full of trannies and niggers, what's to enjoy? Genuinely curious.

Slaughtering thousands of 'evil' Bandits, some good companion characters, eventually becoming an invincible killing machine with just a bow and arrow. In the first one although it was derivative it still had a pretty good "WTF" story that I hadn't seen done before. The second had a less interesting story.

i thought of that but i am playing a furry combat game during my workout rest phase and the enjoyable thing i can get from it is being able to kill furries, i mean sure it's an adult game but i am never forced into gay furry shit and the combat is what you deal with the most anyway.

While I agree that the past matters, Kratos is right in this scene. Faye may or may not have been anything from a saint to a slut or a cannibal for all we know but Kratos became an insanely murderous war god that brought upon the Apocalypse and destroyed a world. He probably put a rule that no one is to judge or discuss the past because of that.

I actually like the new God war games. That said the story in the last one is actually MCU tier trash at many points and rings hollow. Whereas the first game actually had a semi sensible plot. The OST for both was really good too. Gameplay wise it felt ok. The combat system was fine but nothing to really write home about once you got the feel for it. I do think that the 2nd game was better in terms of combat mechanics. The new spear is actually pretty nice and the added gear sets are good too. The free Valhalla was pretty fun and I liked the Tyr boss fight progression.
