They will have learned nothing from this and will keep doing what they've been doing the past decade, until they've wasted so much money Sony is forced to kill off their gaming division.
All they have changed is dropping the focus on "revenue outside of gaming" or some such nonsense. They've learned jack shit.
I mildly await the day an investor actually asks for concrete numbers, solely to see the pants shitting from Sony.

It probably won’t happen - as long as the line is still going up the Investors probably won’t care - but seeing all the financial black holes that Playstation calls its first party lineup? You’d think someone would twig that they’re getting fucked.
It's hard to say isn't it? On one hand, I would like to think that if I was an investor I would be calling out these false numbers and obvious fluffed figures.
On the other hand, I might keep quiet knowing I can see the writing on the wall and with the line going up, I don't need to pull the plug until just before the crash.

I would be waiting for the pump and dump to happen around GTA6 release. It will have a massive opening weekend, then a decent week and miss all expectations for the month.
I think that will start the crash.

Sony Eyes Position as ‘Creative Leaders in Single Player Experiences’ After Live-Service Setback

Looks like Sony is returning back to their single player focus after the live service failure. Sony are in for a surprise when their WOKE garbage single player games fails too :story:
Isn't this just a fake announcement to reassure the investors and the sonyggers since 3 of these games were already scheduled to be released within the next 2 years?

Sadly I think the gaming consoomerism is too strong
Agreed, and this should be talked about more often, because it's precisely why gaming companies are constantly pushing the envelope to see how far they can get away with, which seems to be never-ending with these people that constantly buy their shit. Even if some of them are doing it "ironically", they are still part of the problem.

The only time it gets brushed upon is when people discuss a gaming crash. Is a crash a complete collapse where we see publishers jumping out of high-rise windows ala the Wall Street Crash, or is a contraction of profit down to 1990s/2000s level?

Are there enough gaming addicts to sustain gaming solely to the gaming addicts without attracting new customers? (I think we're there or there abouts, personally)

Now they have a scapegoat.
They always have a scapegoat. In their view, their products have never failed because they're bad products. It's always been bad consumers. It's your fault their products fail. The products are "fine" as far as they're concerned.

I'm content to watch them continue failing again and again, pissing away piles and piles of money until they either unfuck themselves or go bankrupt head-butting the brick wall.

I'll never understand why Sony never got anywhere near as much shit about the YLOD issues for the early PS3s than Microsoft did for the RROD issues on the 360. At least MS extended the warranty to 3 years and got you a new console guaranteed for free. The unreliable $599 early PS3s you had to buy another if yours was out of warranty.

I guess the unreliable 90nm chip process was in use for a whole year longer for the 360 due to being out a year earlier. But both manufacturers made their consoles reliable enough by mid 2008ish.
Three things:
1) Lower incidence
2) PS3 sales didn't really pick up until after the revisions that fixed the YLOD.
3) Most PS3 consoles that developed YLOD did so after multiple years so a lot of people just assumed it was normal wear and tear killing an early model.

It just never affected as many people as the RROD.

More greedy digital deluxe editions and trash collector editions without the game is coming, try guess the price, if you dare...

It will be woke slop, I don't get why people still expect anything else at this point. Doesn't matter if the woke part is 5% or 80%, woke is woke, don't support it.

Reminds me that I have the X-Men Origins: Wolverine iso (2009) on my PC and still haven't played it.
Ps2 or ps3?
