I can not express the apathy I feel towards these AAA Californian games. I can't even hate anything about them. They're so bland and safe. No matter how much you dive into the material it's all so surface level and trite. Decades of man hours and for what? These products belong in a cereal box. Fucking tourists. Scare them away with anime titties!

At TGS Sony announced that the PS5 is financially the best generation ever (open your books Sony, I want to see you hiding the PS4 revenue).
and that they've SHIPPED 80 million consoles. In the same time frame, approx 5 years on the market, PS4 had SOLD 91 million consoles. (Sales from here)

By december of year 5, PS4 had sold, not shipped, 96 million consoles. Sony needs to sell 20-25 million consoles this christmas to get back on track of 'launch parity' (remember the snoy fags huffing on that?)

Okay, I am a big gaming enthusiast, and have both games I disliked(Days Gone, gameplay part of Last Of Us), and low key loved by Sony (Ghost of Tsushima, kinda Spider Man Remastered after first act, won't count Death Stranding because its mostly Kojima vision), and personally, my biggest problem with Sony games is how uninspired the gameplay is sometimes. It feels very bland, generic and "on the rails" to me, where even something that I thought I'd love (like GoW, with Kratos letting of his desire for vengeance and trying to become a good father) I just skipped altogether because of how lame and uninspiring the gameplay part is.

I won't say that Sony haven't released anything good though - I liked 2/3 of Spider Man Remastered (first act was absolute ass, but rest of the game was fun, voice acting surprised me with how unironically great Peter is), and Ghost of Tsushima for it's amazing art style and world (even if by the end some of it's issues began annoy me).

Some people say "HURR SONY MAKES GAME MOVIES", but people who criticise cut scenes, are, imo, retarded - it's mediocre gameplay that drags it down a lot of times(like it did with TLoU for me)

Sounds like only the "big" part of that sentence is true.

Nice taking the "people who criticise cutscenes are retarded" out of context of "it's usually the gameplay that is dragging them down"(should also add some side activities and small details that R(C)ockstsr does, but whatever) - I don't remember Red Dead 2 being shouted at for having cutscenes, but go off, I guess.

And yeah, I don't like Days Gone for hordes(totally subjective) and survival "you can pick items but you can't stock them because of we want it that way" thing Sony does with all of theirs games(even ones I liked too) - wow, imagine having a "personal opinion", right?

All the games you've named are 5 years old at most and are fucking terrible, with the exception of days gone, which you didn't like.

You're not fooling me, Sony Employee.

Alright then, if they are dumb, then you CAN tell why. If not - I mean, opinion without argument is few kilobytes wasted on a server, bud. You CAN have opinion that Earth is flat and sky isn't blue, but it won't become more true just because you have it 🤷‍♂️

its a fucking disgrace that the only good sony game fucking died for being toO manly. and even that game had dyke girlbosses.
It came out at the wrong time, people were tired of zombie games and people were tired of open world games. Doesn't help that the game looked really generic, and once the game journos started crying the game is too white and conservative or whatever, that was the final nail in the coffin. No way Soyny of today is interested in a sequel.

Normies love Ghost of Tsushima. I know people who only play sports titles talking about how impressive GoT was. I personally think it's because of how easy it is to control. You don't have to aim or lock on. It's simple and intuitive for people who play the FIFAs.

Ghost of Yotei will do great numbers wise but it will have no cultural impact once the hype cycle dies down and the game awards circle jerk is over. It's an amalgamation of what other artists have made. And of course it is. The creators don't have anything to say about that time period that isn't facile. It's a backdrop for an Arkham game.

Historical fiction is so interesting when it captures the morality and superstition of the time with brutal honesty and empathy. I still think Pentiment is one of the best narrative games because of it. Ghost of Tsushima however is a chore to even think about. Don't believe me? Go up to someone and ask why they picked one of the two endings in GoT. Their eyes will glaze over like you just gave them homework.

Ironically the game is not worth recalling past a side quest where Jin's geriatric caretaker reminisces about an affair she had with Jin's dad. Hell the best parts of the game is when the older characters are getting nostalgic about the old times. It's like that movie Midnight in Paris. The players bought the game because they found the period intriguing. Everyone wanted a Assassin's Creed Japan so badly. When you enter the world you only find characters in a living nightmare. They wish they could go back to a different period. A nook in time where their children were young and were playing around. When the people they loved were still alive and respected. It's about the death of a hypocritical, but proud, ideology and in turn the death of meaning.

The problem is this conversation is incredibly thought provoking in Harakiri. One of the best movies ever made. But stretched to a design-by-checklist 30 to 40 hour video game? It's feels too thinly spread and too considerate of the modern audience. It feels like a government sectioned tour through Pyongyang. I heard the museums are great.

Sony shills upset Ananta is copying flagship game mechanics, while completely missing the point that Sony is directly advertising this game is always going to be funny. Sony literally doesn't give a fuck as long as it pushes more players to their platform. Honestly, if Ananta turns out half decent, I might play that over GTA VI. So far I'm liking what I'm seeing.

It's even funnier when sonyggers say that Sony should sue the Ananta devs.
