Here's some more cope.

Maat pisscatteller has tweeted that the PS5 has outsold the PS3 in America. No figures were given, of course. What took the PS3 10 years has taken the PS5 5 years, but trust me bro, it outsold the most unpopular Playstation that took 8 years before it turned it around.

He goes on to say that the PS4 and PS5 launch aligned sales are the same, forgetting to mention numbers or sold in/sold through.

Trust me bro, PS5 is selling great, GoY was a success.

Keep lying, it'll be funny the next time there's a leak or hack revealing the actual figures

Alright, hear me out: Super Diversity Simulator 2025. You’re the head of DEI at an office/theme park/etc. and are tasked with making the organization as inclusive as possible. You start with fairly grounded tasks like making sure the raised platforms have wheelchair ramps, but they gradually become more outlandish like replacing printer paper with multi-colored construction paper to represent all ethnicities (excluding white, of course) and investing in jeet-English-to-normal-English translation services.
i had an idea similar to this, you'd be hired as an HR golem at a company that's already successful and you'd gradually make the workplace a "better" place to work as HR is so inclined to do.

That faggot sony shill Colin Moriarty had a stream where he tried to debate bro JT Smash (another grifting retard) that GoY was a success. The amount of cope these shills need to prop up there failed nigger item is incredible.
They both lost the debate anyway. SmashJT used ChatGPT to make up the numbers to prove his theory instead of using his Youtube money to get access to the numbers that are behind the company's paywall.
To me, the problem with Pescatella is that he just publishes tweets (or whatever it's called on Bluesky) with no actual data. "X game was the third best-selling game this month" ok but can we see how many copies sold, physical, digital or both? His posts are vague enough to give ammunition to the gamejournos.

That's by design, of course. Publishing real numbers would be embarrassing, so they tell him what to post and he calls it a "leak" or "insider info." Dude's obviously owned by the publishers or Sony.

Out of every PlayStation game, and every version of Spider-Man, he fixates on this? What a boring and gay thing to be a fanboy of.
It's like being obsessed with a particular loaf of bread.
Insomniac’s Spider Man series falls in the category of inoffensively average. The first one at least had the benefit of being the first good superhero game since the Batman: Arkham series. Right place, right time when single player games were lauded as a breath of fresh air and Sony having the strength of high quality exclusives.

The second one, nothing stands out with it. Story is meandering safe with no conflict, gameplay is fine but lacks depth compared to Spider-Man 2, it just exists as good but nothing memorable.

Are we seeing a death era for these companies?
That'll only happen when the money finally starts running out, which will in turn only happen when the people operating the money printer decide their purposes will be better served cranking out unlimited funds to something else they want to destroy.

The collapse of Xbox isn't caused by issues shared with the competition.

Phil Spencer kept coasting on "this will be the year of Xbox" for a decade while being unable to do anything with the rot within their in house studios, then trying to compensate by buying publishers with their own studios, but only causing the rot to spread further

The closest other example of this would be Sony paying too much for Bungie at a time where most talent had already left the studio and replaced with diversity hires

I'd love to know how he pulled it all off. You know they were paying him millions every year, personally, in salary. Not to mention bonuses, stocks and other perks. All for "managing" a major brand into the ground.

What is (was?) his day-to-day "work" like? They obviously don't spend their meager "working" hours spewing endless platitudes, so what was this guy's regular work day filled with? There's only so many meetings, phone calls, emails, cocktails, blow jobs, cocaine lines, etc., to be done in a day, so what exactly did this idiot contribute (besides failure) to this brand (or his employer) for the decade they paid him seven figures a year?

(I'm not even mad -- I'd love to have ten years getting paid seven figures to fuck everything up and still get a golden parachute at the end ... I'd even actually try to do a good job not fucking up at that kind of pay level)

What is and when is the next 1st party title for Sony?
I got my answer

A lot of eating that's for sure, he's on ozempic now so he's back to being thin, but just compare 2013 Phil Spencer

The only odd duck remaining doing exclusives is Nintendo and things are not looking bright for them right now since their current corporate shenanigans have managed to piss off both costumers and third party developers alike.

It's Nintendo. They always fail at third-party support. Why people continuously see this and every new console generation they say, "This time it's going to be different!" is beyond me; it's the literal definition of insanity.

I guess the first-party title is Wolverine? What a sad state of affairs.

In their defense, sometimes it really is the IP specifically. Just look at Pokemon.

That's not even the IP, just look at Palworld. The problem is Nintendo is extremely litigious against anyone who dares having a monster catching game

Pokemon fans truly are on a class of their own on how undiscerning they are about the quality of the video games they buy. They pay no attention to features, innovation or value. If it is a new entry in the series, they'll buy it and that's the end of it, they'll also fall into the category who buys all manner of related merchandise, of which Pokemon has an endless variety unlike other Nintendo properties.

Pokemon fans are such reliable cash cows in how faithful they are to the franchise that GameFreak only needs to deliver the bare minimum to make huge profits. Is it any wonder why Nintendo is being so virulent and underhanded in the way they want to own a genre they consider their exclusive fiefdom from actual competition?
