you say that but i think i have more playtime on my phone than i do pc and the pc version i got little over 100 hours in
Cool. Not sure how a sample size of 1 retard having more hours of playtime on a specific version with objectively less features bears any relevance to a discussion of "best platform", but you keep doing you, my chromosomally abundant acquaintance.

Between Nintendo extorting people by exploiting their childhood nostalgia, Microsoft being even more retarded with the next X-Box ($1000 to $1500 fucking dollars?! Are you fucking kidding me?!) and Snoy continuing to be Snoy; it's entirely possible that Valve may well make a successful entry into the ongoing console war with their new Steam Machine.

Brace yourselves, Ladies, Gentleman and Trannies, 2026 is quite possibly going to be the Year of the GabeCube.

I'm honestly almost salivating at the thought of what an absolute shit show that launch will be. Thought Microsoft couldn't fuck up more in the console space after the Xbone and Kinect debacle but their next release has all the makings of outshadowing even that failure.

Hell, if the Steamdeck is anything to go by then it wont just be the GabeCube, but a bunch of 3rd party versions as well covering every price and performance point.
This could become especially dangerous for the old guard with PC/Steam having the only non-pozzed exclusive titles as well as all of the multi-platform slop you could want these days.
Also 1st party gamepads that do not cost 80$ and somehow still develop stick drift after two weeks of ownership.
Really all Valve has to do is not fuck this up in some exceptionally retarded way and the others shooting themselves in the foot repeatedly will do the rest.

May the Gabe liberate the console cucks and bring free multiplayer and plenty of 20$ games to the peasant masses. May the greedy merchants be driven from the temple of gaming.

If it's not the case that that announcement was office politics because a lot of higher ups at MS want Xbox killed (which I most lean to), the next theory I subscribe to is that they're trying to do a reverse Xbox One gambit. Before the announcement the usuals got hyped, the reveal got everybody confused, then when all the details got leaked drip by drip people wanted blood. Instead with Xbox Who Gives A Shit, they're bullshitting us with all the bad up front and then when the price gets announced as 'only' $899.99 (for the gimped SKU, real one $1200) instead of $1500, MS thinks that will get them good press.

Xbox has the same issue Soyny has. Who wants to pay for yet another Xbox just so they can play an updated version of The Master Chief Collection or Banjo Kazooie. The nostalgia for these franchises is non existent because these IPs have been milked dry of any remaining nostalgic value. The Xbox brand is dead and it makes increasingly less sense to insist on fucking the corpse.

I enjoyed Astro Bot and got a platinum trophy for it but it is an unabashed Mario clone with various Soyny IP themes, including Horizon. Playing levels based on Ape Escape reminded me of a better time when Sony IPs were more than focus tested girlbosses meant to further the profiles of game directors like Neil Cuckmann.

I've been out of the console game for quite a while now but how is this still such a huge issue? I remember being wary of getting the original Switch because of that. It is absolutely ridiculous that manufacturers still did not manage to fix this, it is now an even bigger issue than back then. QA is truly dead and buried.

It's even worse because Nintendo, as far as I know, managed to fix their issues with the Switch 2's Joycons. But Sony releases like 8 different controller editions a week and yet they go to shit almost immediately. You'd think they would fix the issues by now.

Obviously, it's too early to say for sure on the switch 2's joysticks, but my v1 switch joycons took about 6 years to drift, while a friend of mine with a ps5 goes through a new dualsense stick every couple months. I can only imagine its worse for niggers living in filthy roach conditions.

Because Sony's bean counters know it is more profitable to ship controllers with cheaper, low quality potentiometer tech rather than newer, more expensive but more reliable Tunneling Magnetoresistance (TMR) technology. They can sell more controllers too since these go bad after a certain amount of time, instead of selling a reliable controller that is going to last the entire console generation or longer.

It is the oldest trick in the corporate book: Planned Obsolescence.
