I hate to double post if no one else has by the time I finish writing this up, and I considered just editing my previous post, but I think just how horrific of a "deal" this is deserves a separate post breaking it down more thoroughly.

>There's also a £2.49 a month mandatory insurance fee regardless of plan
>Totals out to £447.84 for a system you don't even own
>A system which retails for £429.99 when it's not on sale
If it just ended there, it would be bad enough, but it gets fucking worse
>digital only model
>digital only model with less storage space
>digital only model with less storage space as AAA games are bloating to filesizes that make it difficult to even download 2 of them
>ps+ not included
>individual monthly lease plan would be more expensive than just buying a ps5 in well under a year
>vertical stand not included
>only a single controller included
>additional controllers offered for nearly double the lease price of the console itself (assuming the 36 month minimum plan)

I hate to bring it up, but the fact this is being advertised on an official account would be the top story on every single gaming journalism outlet if this were the switch 2 instead of the ps5. Given the ps6 is likely to reach near $1k for just the basic model, I wouldn't be surprised if this is a test run for it.

Someone should lease one for a month and just put it in a box with bed bugs or german roaches and return it for the next sucker to lease for 3 years. I doubt theyll be tearing each one of these apart every time they get it back.
This is so obviously directed towards the black community that I'm surprised it's not prohibited by civil rights laws.

I wonder if there's something not so legal about the advertisement showing both the stand on the console and two controllers on the box.

Yeah, this is a incredibly bad deal for anyone with basic cognitive ability meaning it'll do gangbusters with niggers and spics. Also wondering if they'll count "leased" as sales lol

SSM have two teams so maybe both are true?
If Sony go all out with putting games on PC and Switch and then announce them at a SOP, I wouldn't be at all shocked.
