So they make Tommy appear in 2, in fucking New York, Vito and Joe kill him instead of random Mafia hitmen.
Okay to be fair one of the OG guys absolutely did look like Joe

I still can't believe people actually like Bluepoints demakes. People are genuinely sad that they won't get a Bluepoint demake of Bloodborne now. Fucking bizarro world
I think people are more mad at the fact we aren't getting a remake/remaster at all, and the most famous Sony slave farm for remakes specifically is being shut down at the same time.

Sony has been raping anyone who even thought of remastering Bloodborne for like a decade, and now it turns out it's just because they suck and not because they were making one themselves.

Between the RAM shortages (thanks AI), the declaration that consoles will start to crank up prices (something tells me they wont reduce them if/when RAM prices stabilize) and Sony's announcing that they will basically have you "rent" a PS5, really begins to give credence to the "conspiracy theory" that the powers that be want to make sure getting gaming hardware will be very price-walled away but worry not, you can rent/remote play it straight from your home.

Leading into the classic "Owning nothing and being happy"
It won't work in the long term though. What they're hoping for is everybody leasing everything, but what they're gonna get is Rent-a-Center for Video Games (which is actually already a thing for game hardware, and isn't nearly as profitable as they'd wanted) where only the broke niggers bother (and they either just stop paying or return the gear broken) and everybody else stays well away from it.

Besides, shortages don't last forever anyway. Either new production comes online, the artificial demand (which is what's causing this one) dies off (which it will), or workarounds emerge (different memory types, different products, or more efficient use of existing equipment) that make a shortage less severe. Ride it out, lads, it will pass. It'll shake out some scammers too.

Joe and Vito are in fucking NYC retard. These guys were in the West Coast during this cutscene which is explained to you in OG 1. This is a narrative retcon as a result of the shoddy development behind the sequel. Vito and Joe had no place in Tommy's tale and the story was simply rushed out the door without the original director on board.

People who beg for a bloodborne demaster are retards all it literally needed was 60fps and emulation delivers, and fromsoftware's tranny dataminers find higher resolution dlc nightmare moon textures in the files or something and promptly restore it.

Damn I had no idea the Mafia 1 epilogue took place in 1200 BC and airplanes didn't exist. Clearly it's impossible for Joe to simply go to the west coast and wack a guy at literally any point between Vito going to jail and 2's main storyline.

I'm just pointing out that the blatant resemblance between the characters could suggest Joe killing Tommy wasn't a random idea added later but something they intended from the beginning. As far as I know Joe looked basically the exact same all the way through development and he directly matches the gunman from 1.

Stop shitting blood at me and calm down. :punished:

After the disgusting butchering of Demon's Souls art direction, I couldn't be happier about Blue Point getting the shaft. They turned what should've been an immaculate remake into a washed out ugly looking mess.

Are they seriously trying another handheld? Wasn't the Vita like a Zune tier flop that only sold like 800k units or some shit?
They didn't advertise the Vita. It was great, but nobody outside of the terminally online saw anything about it, despite it being feature-rich and having a number of exclusives, something you don't see anymore. They even managed to have the best version of Minecraft you could play portably for years, at a time when Pocket Edition was barebones, and the crappy New 3DS version was still years away. And then they didn't tell anyone! Even when you opened the PS Store on the thing, you almost always saw ads for soulless coomer bullshit like Hyperdimension Neptunia instead of, you know, fucking Minecraft, the biggest game in the world at the time.

I wouldn't say it flopped on the level of Zune, but it sure did pathetic numbers, and it's all Sony's fault for squandering the damn thing.

Dogshit american studio. Kill yourselves.
i had never seen that comparison between the ps4 version of SOTC and its painful, how in the fuck does a ps2 game have more particle effects than a generation infamous for abusing them? They overcorrected in the DeS remake and added the goddamn awful overlay when getting hit by elemental attacks, the OG didnt exactly have a subtle effect either, but the new one always peeved me everytime it happens

I don't ever recall an overlay existing for attacks in these games.

Speaking of elements, the original magic sounds were unique even compared to dark souls and fromsoftware's later works... it's sci fi bullshit with the demake.

Sony Japan definitely didn't do it any favors, but Sony California actively did their best to sabotage it, this was right as a pretty big shakeup was happening at playstation, with the californian branch taking more and more control after being credited with "saving" the ps3 in its twilight years (granted, they at least kicked some momentum back into it prior to the launch, after microsoft stalled the 360 with the kinect during the second half of that device's life). Because of this, the ps4 ended up being largely controlled by california playstation, while the vita ended up under actual playstation Japan. Look, the ps4 would have probably sold more no matter what, but cali playstation knew that the worse the vita did, the more power they would get in the aftermath.

i dont know how to explain it, but whenever you hit or get hit by a magic or fire attack, they make your entire body be engulfed in a really jarring effect
timestamped
everytime you get engulfed in fire you look like a wierd lava monster for a couple seconds

compare it to the OG where the flames just get momentarily overlayed and then dissipate

Im 99% sure the magic one looked even worse because you just glowed blue for seconds at a time, but im not too sure of what boss is good for showcasing that

I continue to maintain they lost the source code and game assets. It's the only rational reason they wouldn't be milking Bloodborne remakes for every console and even tech stack bump. They've remade/re-released and ported fucking every Fromsoft game they've ever made ... except Bloodborne.

Somebody just rimraffed the source tree by accident and didn't have backups. That's all it is. They'd never turn down free money.

And how is this not an upgrade?

Rim lighting and slight cel shading. Also notice the complete lack of overexposure and washed out dead appearance across everything. Bluepoint thought the color choice was a technical limitation. See how the remake has a green tinge across everything.
Also did BP make the ps3 remaster of SOTC or the ps4 remake that came out a few years ago?

Because I remember the ps3 version being almost identical to the ps2 one visually but with way better framerates/resolution, the ps4 remake was the one that completely changed how the game looked. Pumped it full of saturation and made it way more lush and green and shit along with changing the controls.
They did both the HD port to PS3 and then the remake on PS4

Unironically though, a sony fan project has a better chance of getting a C&D letter than a nintendo fan project.
The people who constantly sperg about Nintendo taking down every big fan game are retarded when you consider how Mario and Pokemon together make up probably a fifth or more of all fan games and rom hacks across all games combined and the actual percentage of things they take down is practically zero.

(And yes, fan games shouldn’t be taken down in general. I’m talking about the people who flood the comment sections of every rom hack with “wAtCh OuT fOr ThE nInTeNdO nInJaS!!!!!1!1!”)

Nobody ever actually liked mobile gaming, it was just better than staring at a bus seat. Phone gaming, with its cheap/free titles, killed it within a single generation.
