No they aren't game publishers can't (won't) make new games for the PS4 anymore because of Sony as of January 2026. The remainder of PS4 titles still releasing will be slop from 2025 and shit.

Metal Gear master collection volume 2 is slated for switch 1 and 2, PS5 and Xbox but no ps4 listing despite it being more powerful than the switch 1. Either it hasn't been listed yet or Konami is just giving up on that audience.

Maybe some indie shit digitally that should be physical (Labyrinth Of The Demon King)

There are stories of Sony reversing the decision to port games to PC. These stories are lies, their march to port everything to PC continues unabated.

If PC ports were a thing of the past, why is FF7-remake part 3 using PC as the lead platform?

Next gen PC will be the main console. Sony know this and will not ignore that audience as they need to chase MAU's

There’s a little indie franchise called Mega Man by a small indie company called Capcom that’s releasing a new mainline game for PS4 in 2027.

Yeah I recently got articles about this so I searched more. Of course they're all going "the mean 'ol Fromsoft said no-no-no to a Bloodborne remaster" and all I have to day is good. I expect to see Snoy bootlickers either seething about this or happy that one of their last exclusives probably won't come to PC.
Though I am seeing more people saying "just port with and unlock the fps something, no remaster" so that makes me happy there's still people who don't think a remaster is needed.

That's the big reason why the PS4 kept getting games. Anything made for the switch could easily be ported over without having to change much. There was also that period of around 2020-2022 where it was retardedly hard to get a PS5. I'm sure that contributed to the ps4's long life too.

Combined with the fact that development costs are ballooning at the same time as playstation (as well as xbox, though due to gamepass) users buying less games, instead spending more money on shorter and shorter lists of live service titles.
 
What is the point of producing a new platform for games without a freaking userbase. That is peak goyim thinking, upgrading to a higher number just because. If no studio is producing AAAAA+ material, what the hell is the point of making a higher performance platform and force everyone to higher resolutions. Meanwhile, the amount of so called "compilation packs" and remasters just keeps increasing, that should tell you all about the actual state of things. The PS5 is a solution to a nonexistent problem.

It’s similar to Hollywood. The more commercialized and controlled by penny pinchers the industry became, the more shitty and conservative the products became.

Game dev budgets have become absolutely fucking retarded, even when tools have developed to where any small dev team can make incredible looking games; Expedition 33 being the ultimate example.

The major game companies now just seem to care about trying to make the next Fortnite and being safe with remasters and remakes because they know the goycattle will buy that shit regardless of the quality.
