GT7 was even worse than GT Sport for online racing. The lag and zig zagging cars due to the game being incompatible with cross platform players still persists 4 years later. It never got fixed. On top of this, PS4 GT Sport could actually run 24 player daily races, and did for a while but there were problems. This got taken down to 20 cars for Daily Race C. GT7 comes along, is advertised as a 20 player online race game. And at launch it was, in daily races. Until they saw that the PS4 and PS5s were incompatible in the game code they wrote and it had massive problems. Now it's only a 16 player game, notwithstanding it's still advertised as a 20 player online game in PS Store.
Polyphony can't code sufficiently, are tone deaf to the playerbase on purpose, and deserve nothing but abject failure in any new GT game. We all migrated to ACC after 2 years of waiting for the game to improve. It never did. And I'll never buy another Gran Turismo ever again. Despite being around from the very start and playing the first Gran Turismo in 1998, buying and playing most of the rest.
Polyphony now want young kids on joy pads playing their buggy slop. That's fine by me being a serious sim racer as we migrated to actual racing simulator games, not whatever GT7 wants to pretend to be. Kaz and his team suck
