It's going to be Naughty Dog and Guerilla.
Druckmann and Hulst have been hand in hand destroying every other team, forcing them to become support teams or work on live service slop. They've been doing it for over a decade now.
They kneecapped games by other teams and then vetoed releases and titles other teams wanted to do.
They'll release one final Last of Us and 18 more Horizon games as Playstation dies

There's also Polyphony Digital, but Sony may decide to have enough with Kaz's autism and the slow releases of GT games and either downsize or axe the studio.

GT7 was even worse than GT Sport for online racing. The lag and zig zagging cars due to the game being incompatible with cross platform players still persists 4 years later. It never got fixed. On top of this, PS4 GT Sport could actually run 24 player daily races, and did for a while but there were problems. This got taken down to 20 cars for Daily Race C. GT7 comes along, is advertised as a 20 player online race game. And at launch it was, in daily races. Until they saw that the PS4 and PS5s were incompatible in the game code they wrote and it had massive problems. Now it's only a 16 player game, notwithstanding it's still advertised as a 20 player online game in PS Store.
Polyphony can't code sufficiently, are tone deaf to the playerbase on purpose, and deserve nothing but abject failure in any new GT game. We all migrated to ACC after 2 years of waiting for the game to improve. It never did. And I'll never buy another Gran Turismo ever again. Despite being around from the very start and playing the first Gran Turismo in 1998, buying and playing most of the rest.
Polyphony now want young kids on joy pads playing their buggy slop. That's fine by me being a serious sim racer as we migrated to actual racing simulator games, not whatever GT7 wants to pretend to be. Kaz and his team suck

Didn't you hear the news about a year ago? That series is getting the modern SE treatment. A re-imagining of it's battle system and a more "mature" nature. It's fucking doomed.

And as Fcret said above, if that is indeed true.. Yikes. 7-R was a complete bastardization. They cut out entire towns!
What the fuck? Nothing is sacred anymore. SE is dead to me since FF13 but i still fell for the 7-R meme, the combat system was so outrageously shitty that i dropped it a couple of hours in and never went back to it again. I can't even imagine what kind of hell they've planned for the DQ battle system revamp.

Why are Sony faggots so delusional thinking their games are so fucking good it would persuade enough people to buy their dogshit console and actually make up the revenue they would miss from selling their games on Steam?
Somebody at Sony took the “PS5 has no games” meme to heart. Too little too late. Who’s going to buy a $600 machine for Wolverine?

It’s going to be interesting to watch Intergalactic crash and burn when it doesn’t live up to sales expectations. Like what will Sony do if that game has a loss of 8 or 9 figures?

GT7 is the worst shit GT ever, the last good GT was GT5 Academy edition. After that the series have been in free fall. Kaz totally ruined the whole game by going live service, Never forget!

Probably some bullshit whining that people don't support new IPs so they can use that excuse to still release "Popular franchise" Last of Us
They had a nine figure loss on Lego Horizon and didn't even blink, didn't stop releasing a thousand more Horizon games. Nobody even talks about that loss.
People probably think Lego games don't cost that much to make but they spent a fortune on animated cut scenes for that and it was a complete write off

I mean, I think any realistic read of what's going on would suggest that Fromsoft and Sony's relationship has seriously deteriorated in the past 5-6 years, and I'd be willing to put money on the company that's gone out of its way to fuck over 3rd parties from the country Fromsoft is based in for zero reason or gain other than because california dangerhairs and genderspecials wanted to feel important being the culprit behind the bad blood.

That's a good point considering that From Software won't fail with anything in the foreseeable future and Sony would like for multiplatform games to still get a PlayStation release. Maybe an exclusive in the future again. That Demon's Souls demake certainly didn't help Sony at all.

Fully agree. Patch 1.09 took the game completely offline for 36 hours. It obviously wasn't tested in house with both console systems before they put it to Sony to push it live. Combining how badly made the experience is, plus all their inadequacies as a development studio, Sony even got them to squeeze in pay to win in game credit macros after it was released. Absolutely abhorrent in a full price title.
It's mainly kids that play these days. Literally the people who don't know how to race cleanly online. And that's what the game has become. Little Johnnies joy pad baby game ram kiddy simulator.
I can't hate this fucking game enough

Sony's first party titles were never system sellers

Never.

Not even Crash was an actual system seller.

Good to decent games.

Not system sellers.

Never forget they had to bundle The Last of Us Remastered with GTA V in the Black Friday Bunduru to make it look like it was a system seller.

Edit: I'll concede that Gran Turismo *may* be a system seller.

This console generation makes me realize Sony should have kept the PS4 alive. Every excuse for moving forward is an ass pull. They took away PS4 communities one of the best ways to interact and find new friends over nothing. I miss those parties man.
