If this is happening because of Iron Lung I’m going to laugh because I predicted this would happen.

Only now it’s not just the YouTubers themselves bankrolling the film, it’s just going to be the big corps smashing popular internet celebs into production roles to get reddit updoots. Jack even announced it on the fucking Bloodborne official Reddit.

This is exactly what happened. Jack is washed up as far as being a content creator. He tried everything to hold onto relevance after falling out of popularity(because he's an unfunny retard who desperately wanted to get into politics). He had a parallel movie project that failed as Markiplier was making iron lung. I feel like Markipliers success made him bitter. I'm getting off topic.

Thanks to iron lung costing $10 million to make and then making $30 million on opening weekend, then God knows how much after. It, for better or worse, shows that it's a better ROI than standard Hollywood productions. It's an even better investment compared to videogames which Sony has been dumping 100s of millions into to only get 10s of millions in return. Unfortunately for Sony, iron lung was a success in a vacuum and they're going to find out that stapling a random YouTuber to your production doesn't translate into Infinity profits. Probably still a better investment and ROI than Marathon tbh.

While I was perusing info to confirm whether or not this was real, I saw so many people saying shit like “omg he’s the perfect guy for this, he’s the biggest BB fan in the world” and other typical reddit-tier inanities. I’m pretty shocked because as someone who’s played the game dozens of times myself and also is a pretty big souls nerd in general (I love lore channels and deep dives into the storytelling and world design for from’s games) I literally had no idea Jack had even played the game. I knew him vaguely from the early YouTube e-celeb boom when huge channels like markiplier, pewdiepie and game grumps were getting their footing as major internet mainstays, but post 2016 I saw almost nothing significant from him.

TLDR, I can think of at least two or three other creative/story crafting channels that would be better suited to help make a Bloodborne game than Jack fucking septic eye.

VaatiVidya, the guy who famously lifted most of his early material from /v/ and /vg/ and is half resented half loved, is more well known and qualified to produce a souldborne movie.

Bloodborne is capped at 30 fps dips to 20-25 frequently and can dip as low as 10 in some boss fights and instead of a remaster or even a new port with uncapped framerate their response is

Most of the male NPCs that actually do stuff end up being evil/bosses. The rest are just background/world dressing. They'll want to do it to "good" characters who actually matter. So that leaves

Failing any of the above, they'll just make up some new character or swap the protagonist. NGL if they made Patches or Micolash black I would get a chuckle out of it.

My bet is on Arianna, leftoids love the sympathetic black mammy touched by the divine trope. Kill infant great ones. Behead infant great ones. Roundhouse kick an infant great one into the concrete.
