Spider-Man 2 sold like shit because IT was woke. The first game wasn't woke near as I can tell. Yeah, there might've been some elements, but it wasn't as heavy handed with it as it was with the second game. As someone who's actually played through the lot of the first game, the only woke elements I noticed were in the DLC with Black Cat and how they girl boss'd MJ, and gave her gameplay sections (which was actually retarded). The second game went all in on the woke bullshit once they had an audience captured. They did the same thing with Ghosts of Yotei. They're likely going to do the same thing with Wolverine. Keep a good majority of woke shit out of the first game, then go all in with it in the second. This has been Sony's track record for the last two decades since they moved their headquarters to California. Sony's sick of losing money. Do you honestly think they'd go all in on the first game with a new game with Wolverine knowing that if they did, it would sell like dogshit?
This weekend I saw a discussion about how great the PS2 was devolve into a bunch of faggot zoomers complaining that the entire generation was notoriously buggy and games would constantly wipe out save files and destroy memory cards and it's why this gen/PS5 is the best ever.

The nuGod of War games were already slop but they were carried by Kratos. When you take him away, people are going to tear the new game apart. The level designs look generic as fuck, the monsters are pallette swaps of what we saw in 2018 and Rag, and that cube is the most desperate attempt at have a quirky character for Faye to bounce off of I've ever seen. It looks so stupid and out of place and kinda just shows that the priority is checking boxes instead of making a game.
Wolverine's plot sounds like a shit show because they're saying the X-Men don't exist and it's just going to be a random hodgepodge of mutants. Which, to me, means that the game is going to end with Professor X showing up and saying "I'm putting together a team"
To me that's a problem because super heroes shouldn't look normal, they should look greater than life. That's the whole point of these kind of settings, you are surrounded by super-powered beings and cybernetically enhanced humans. Wolverine fits right in wearing his comic book style outfit while performing over-the-top moves and kills. Meanwhile Jean and her outfit, in their normalcy, in the context of everything that is happening looks out of place.
If Wolverine gets to wear "yellow spandex", so should her and she should be given a presence of being worthy of it. If Insomniac is gonna give us capeshit, don't do "normal", go full camp or go home.
But we all know why we won't get this, the reasons why have been discussed ad nauseam.
