Honestly, I think the "mom of war" is the least of Sony's problem.
Given on what we just saw, I don't think Sony's woes with their AAA exclusives are going to end anytime soon.
To me, the issue with both the Wolverine game and the new God of War is that it looks like their gameplay is going to be streamlined to the holy fuck.
Sure, a lot of money will go to the spectacle, but the act of actually playing them is going to be a cookie cutter affair, a polished experience for sure, but derivative and lackluster in player expression.
And we've already saw this happen with Sony games, 3 times already. Spiderman-Man 2, Ragnarok and Ghost of Yotei. Sure, those were sequel, but much like these two new games, they were built on a fundation that was already getting tiresome by the end of their originals.
In short, these Sony games are boring as fuck, their core gameplay being a action combat that doesn't hold a candle to other recent character action games.
No matter how much money you sink into cinematics and polished visuals, game wise, these Sony exclusives seem to be stuck in the mid 2010's
