Speaking of PD, aside from GT8 (presumably, since they put out games at a snail's pace), what else do they do? I'm still hoping that they try to create an open-world racing game to compete with Forza Horizon and The Crew, even though it will probably suck. And the focused features in the newer GT games, i.e. scapes, would actually do better in an open-world racing game. And at least it would be still better than Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, unless Kaz REALLY finds a way to fuck up harder.

Kaz seems to care more about real racing in his Nissan than making a good Gran Turismo game.
Like you said, if PD take so much time to make a game, Sony should assign one of their studios to make a GT spin-off.

Which of Sony's remaining studios would be able to make a racing game though? Since as you said, they buried the Drive Club studio dead, and their single-player studios don't translate to be able to make racing games. The one that gets the closet could be the studio that makes MLB The Show, but even that's still very far off in terms of being able to make racing games.

Also, has Kaz said anything about appointing a new director for future games made at PD, and not just Gran Turismo? Or is he the type that will guard his baby and keep it for himself until he is unable to physically perform the role?

Like, I can't stress this enough, I could give a LOT of passes to shit like this. Extra outfits regenerate? Fine. Outfit magically regenerates at the start of the next level? Cool.

But like...when you're suit is all torn up and your fucking face is melted off so you can see the adamantium skull and you hit the heal button and all of it just instantly regenerates back? In your big gameplay reveal?
