If only they could figure out how to make one where the game isn't shit?
South of Midnight
Relooted
Forspoken, light skinned, definitely mixed.
HL 2 Alyx the character is only half, and you wouldn't even know looking at her.
Dishonored Death of the Outsider is basically a re-hash standalone would have been DLC thing for Dishonored 2 but I know nothing about this one.
Beyond Good and Evil potentially again maybe a quarter black or an octaroon that again you wouldn't even know just looking at the character

Anything else is either a shared cast(like Resident Evil 5) or the character is only half black at most(again... RE5). So basically the only two that would meet their requirements are... South of Midnight featuring a black girl picking magic cotton and puzzle skip buttons, and a game about an african woman breaking into museums and stealing shit? No one is making these devs make games about black women stealing shit or picking cotton, that's a choice entirely of their own. Hell, there's so few of these games featuring black female "protagonists" that are actually on their own, and aren't mulattos or octaroons that do stereotypical nigger shit one could even ask these idiot devs "what did they mean by this?" They've had the entire past decade to make whatever slop they want, and apparently didn't... but when they did they might as well have made their main character named Shaniqua eating fucking watermelon to get superpowers for her weave.

Do Indian characters count too? If yes, then you can add Unknown 9: Awakening to that list too. The game was supposed to be the start of a massive multimedia franchise spanning many forms like books, TV shows, etc. Instead, the game was such a massive failure that the studio that created it shut down, and it didn't help Bandai Namco's reputation either.

Why would Indian characters count as "Black female lead"? Also, Reflector Entertainment only laid off 20% of their employees after that shit show was released in 2024 and was hiring again early this year, including having job postings as of 6 days ago.

What are you talking about?

I was meh on Ghost of Yotei originally. Not great but not bad either. But on second playthrough I've found it to be good. Granted it scratches that Lady Snowblood and Kill Bill itch. Voice acting is good even though I'm befuddled the brother is not Robbie Daymond despite sounding like him same with the mother not being Kim Mai Guest. The wolf company is fun imo. I like the different weapons too. People are mad about the town but that whole coastal area is gorgeous in my opinion with the cherry blossoms. Visually its a marvel. I like the onryo outfit very flowy cape lmao. Yes the story fumbles a bit in act 3 but it's not like.....MCU shitty third act bad. I hope there is dlc like Iki. The Tsushima area was a great nod. It is absolutely not a spectacular game. It's like a 7.5. But it is satisfying on some level.

I still have not played either of the Last of Us games. Is it worth it? I am aware second one completely shit the bed. Or should I not touch the games with a ten foot pole?

I swear, Game Dev requires a certain level of autism, and the more people you try and cram into the project the more the autism dilutes.
Can't remember which gaming thread I said it in but whatever your favourite game of all time is chances are it was made by a team of 30 turbo nerds or less.

Haven't played the second one because I hated Part 1. It's an exhibition of all Naughty Dog's worst traits: braindead platforming, large walking sim sections, insta-death 'play it our way' stealth sections, and awful combat where every enemy is an expert marksman no matter what weapon they have or how far away they are.

I also thought the story blew chunks and I have no idea why people were so blown away by it. It could not have been more obvious what was going to happen.

it has some bs moments like the tunnel section near the end of the game and the sniper part but otherwise i liked the first game very much. so much so, ive beaten this game like 3 times.
2nd game doesnt even need to be played for the story. it has the no return mode if you play the remastered edition which is very fun to play.

The thing that irked me the most about the plot is that the Fireflies had no fucking idea if their retarded plan to scoop Ellie's brains out and turn it into a vaccine would even fucking work since it had never been done before and they had no clinical trials or research to go off of since the game established that Ellie was the only known survivor who had developed an immunity to the cordyceps, and then things get even more retarded in the sequel where they try to frame Joel as the bad guy for recusing Ellie from the Fireflies even tho they were going to murder an unconscious girl who couldn't consent.

Because Millenials and Zoomers have a lot of daddy issues.

The second they get in their "feels" they declare a game a masterpiece regardless of whatever bullshit hacky tricks are used to get there.

It was made by people that think scientists are a bunch of people going "Eureka! I discovered the God Elixir!" every now and then. Drug trials, control groups, tests etc are foreign words to them. Same goes for drug manufacturing.

Vaccines are always perfectly safe, stalker child. This is how you chose to end your life.

Yeah that setup was so paper thin it was obvious they just wanted the shock factor of Joel's death, which was also needlessly violent. This is a broader problem with ND writing like in Uncharted they're always trying to guilt Nate for killing waves of pirates and war criminals instead of letting them shoot him.

Don't forget about SAAROS!

Rick and Morty greatly popularized the idea that soyience was the greatest thing ever and soyientists are literal Gods that can do no wrong and cannot be questioned.

And the pandemic only made things worse. Many countries were literally putting people in prison for disagreeing with le heckin soyience.
