Sound of Freedom (2023) - Lets talk about the child trafficking Movie Disney owned but did not want to release for 5 years

A Youtuber mentioned then Sound of Freedom starts its international run on the following dates.

Starting Friday the movie starts its international run.
August 18: South Africa
August 24: Australia and New Zealand
August 31: Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, and other South American territories
September 1: UK and Ireland
October 11: Spain

Sorry for the bump and double posting but Netflix and Amazon banned Sound of Freedom from their platforms.

Wrong move you did guys, that fuel more fire to the Streisand effect and some folks begin to think why they aren't ok with Sound of Freedom but ok with Cuties. I won't be surprised to see pirate/bootleg copies of Sound of Freedom popping up.

I'm shocked, shocked you say.

I imagine Angel is already in the works of getting their own streaming services up. They did it before, albeit in a gray legal area (for which they did get taken to court for), they should be able to try it again while lending it out to whoever will take it.

Whatever. They could just put in on DailyWire+ or Angel Studios' own website or something. Or Tubi or Freevee.

Having got a chance to watch the film, I don't get why they're cancelling the film on these platforms. The film has no overt Political agenda (the most you get out of it was that bureaucracy was a hurdle), it doesn't have any themes that would be considered 'problematic' to any sane person; and overall it handles the issue with sincerity and genuinely promotes a positive message and awareness. Netflix allowed 'Cuties' that was gross and disgusting, so do they wanna deep their own reputation with more dirt?

Maybe the rational at Hollywood HQ was that they'll be labelled as hypocrites that they allowed 'Cuties' and 'Sound of Freedom' giving mixed messages, but this will make Netflix/Amazon Prime/Disney be known as pedowood while giving 'Sound of Freedom' (as you mentioned Streisand effect) more popularity. :story:

Sad to say this is a non-story. These are the pedophiles who trashed Sound of Freedom in the graun:
  • Peter Bradshaw
  • Charles Bramesco
  • Sian Cain
  • Adam Gabbatt
  • Sammy Gecsoyler
  • Wendy Ide
  • Steve Rose
  • David Smith
  • Josh Taylor
It clearly rustled their jimmies!

However, the one who was caught, Peter Wilby, was a graun columnist and the longest-working editor of the New Statesman in over 50 years. As a graun columnist, his beat was education. The trashing of Dean Nelson's inquiry happened at The Independent on Sunday in 1991.

The graun is most definitely run by nonces (see also: "trans kids") but this is not any kind of smoking bomb, it's just "well duh, there are nonces in bongland".

To Hollywood's horror, SoF is smashing it outside the US.

Box office expert and movie blogger Paul Ferrer told Newsweek in August that he did not think its success would translate overseas.
"While Sound of Freedom was a huge success in the U.S. these films don't travel well outside the U.S.," Ferrer said.

With "these films," Ferrer was referring to Sound of Freedom's Christian message. Angel Studios' previous releases include Testament: The Parables Retold and His Only Son, both faith-based films.
"Sony have had huge success with their Affirm Studios but the majority of box office came from the U.S. You only need to see how films like Heaven is for Real and the recent George Foreman film [Big George Foreman] took 90 percent U.S. and 10 percent international," Ferrer said, pointing out another studio that distributes faith-based movies.

But Ferrer's prediction did not happen, as Sound of Freedom reached two million advance ticket sales in Latin America in just four days, a feat which took a week in the U.S.

After Russell Brand, it's not the director of Sound of Freedom Tim Ballard being accused of grooming.
....Update, September 19:
In a statement dated September 18, 2023 and issued through the SPEAR Fund, Tim Ballard denied the sexual misconduct allegations, calling them “baseless.” His full statement is below:

As with all of the assaults on my character and integrity over many years, the latest tabloid-driven sexual allegations are false. They are baseless inventions designed to destroy me and the movement we have built to end the trafficking and exploitation of vulnerable children.
“During my time at O.U.R., I designed strict guidelines for myself and our operators in the field. Sexual contact was prohibited, and I led by example. Given our meticulous attention to this issue, any suggestion of inappropriate sexual contact is categorically false.”
The Spear Fund strongly encourages journalists to watch this recent episode of the highly-respected Marisol Nichols Podcast, which offers specific context around the child rescue operations process: https://youtu.be/xo6-tdafK6k?si=iVbHc1MhTdumsGan
Edit: I guess Roman Polanski didn't said a word against the narrative yet.

Oh yeah, dude is so crazy that it took too many years of nothing happening until a movie about his life's work came out and became successful just for some five women to come out to say he did bad things to them.

This movie was never supposed to happen, and it was never supposed to be released and make money. The elites are absolutely pissed about their trafficking rings being made public.

Maybe Ballard got MK Ultra'd while working for the FBI, but if it was such a big deal, he would've been disappeared a long time ago. This is just another #MeToo long past its expiration date, and why would you link to Vice of all places? Lmao.

You were saying...

Also I don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but apparently this happened:

I didn't know that Kevin James supported the Sound of Freedom movie and was friends with Tim Ballard. Between Rob Schneider and now this 2000's Era comedians that appeared in Adam Sandler movies are now surprisingly based.

I didn't see it but I found people twisting themselves into pretzels trying to defend child sex trafficking pretty funny and educational.
Critics can't help them selves, movie would have done far worse if they just reviewed the movie it's self without going the Q Anon route with the reviews.

But I would keep it that way, unless want a sleep aid don't watch the movie just laugh at the people.
